Premier League Trophy Question

When the game ended on Sunday and we were awaiting the presentation, I said to my mate next to me, which clown will be the first to use the crown on top of the trophy as a hat? We discussed it but in the end no one did, and I don't remember seeing the top of it taken off.

I figured that there's a couple of reasons for this, perhaps it doesn't come off, perhaps it's because it was the replica and the top doesn't come off that, or perhaps there had been incidents in the past with it, and the top had actually been welded on. Or perhaps, the players didn't realise it came off?

Does anyone know the definitive answer? I'm sure I remember it being taken off in previous years.

Probably just taken the other part off which they use when it's on Display...

on a Parade with it moving about so much they'll take it off

I think the crown is now welded on, it would surely have come off when lifted. Also, does anyone remember when the rags won it in 93, they received mini trophies instead of medals.

Sure i saw one of the players (can't remember which one) trying to take the crown off and it wouldn't move.
