..The Premier League’s Financial Fair Play regulations have been ratified at a summit in London today.
The Premier League needed a two-thirds majority for the fine details of the wage restraints and cap on losses — accepted at the previous meeting by the narrowest of margins — to be added to the rulebook.
Ahead of today’s meeting a number of clubs were believed to be undecided — but this afternoon 14 clubs voted in favour, five against, while Swansea abstained altogether.

It means the likes of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will be subject to spending restrictions for the first time since he bought the club nearly a decade ago.
There are two significant elements of the new rules – to limit wage bills and restrict the amount clubs can make to £105m over three years – and any breach of salary or spending regulations could result in a points deduction in the most extreme cases.
Clubs whose total wage bill is more than £52m will only be allowed to increase their wages by £4m per season for the next three years.

But the restrictions only apply to the income from TV money — so any income from sponsorship deals or tickets sale can still be spent on wages.
The ceiling when the wage increase restrictions kick in will be £52m next season, £56m the following year and £60m in 2015-16. Only seven of the current top-flight clubs would be under that ceiling at the moment.
The regulations have come about against the backdrop of UEFA's Financial Fair Play (FFP) initiative – which can result in exclusion from the Champions or Europa League from next year.
