well the Nike sponsorship of the academy is supposedly the biggest in sport,im quite sure many more will be getting on board..

Do you mean the Etihad sponsorship, or is there a separate sponsorship of the academy by Nike? I've not heard anything about this, be interested hear more about it.

And here`s me thinking I was the only ignorant fucker. Not heard it myself, although I knew we had a deal with Nike, but not via the Academy.

What about the extra £50 million for being in the PL? That's commercial income isn't it? So it means bugger-all to any of them really. Pls our revenues will be soaring through the clouds in general shortly.

However I do think before 5 years is out clubs will be running to reverse FFP in general and queueing up to vote it out all over Europe.

Can someone explain to me why a club such as Neverton would vote in favour of this? In fact can someone explain why any club would vote for this?

It prevents the increased domestic TV revenue being swallowed up by player wage increases. Increased domestic TV revenue can now be swallowed by the chairman/directors/shareholders of clubs. Its like voting to put millions in your pocket. No brainer

There does need to be some kind of wage restriction as wages are to high and unstainable for a lot of clubs.

Not sure if this will do anyhting though

X2 Is he getting confused perhaps?

It's not really about us anymore but football as a whole. Ffp is disastrous for European football. Having said that, fans of other clubs seem to be so ignorant of what is really going on I'm starting to care less and less. They all perceive us as the big bad wolf when it couldn't be further from the truth.

Exactly, we all know why the likes of United, Arsenal and Liverpool are trying to implement these rules because it benefits them the most.

IMO I think that Sheikh Mansour will be glad of rules like this. We are in the elite now and this rule is going to benefit us like it will the other 'bigger' clubs.

I am just glad our owners aren't being hypocritical shits like Abramhovic is. Chelsea have benefitted more than any other club from owner investment and now they are in a position where they don't need to spend as much he wants to stop other clubs from doing them same.
