What I don't get, and will never understand, is how a club with so much debt can virtually write it off as not mattering, just because they raise loads on shirt sales to singapore. Surely financial fair play should mean that you should also be debt free too, in as far as possible. Or at least start to pay the bleeding thing off.
So if the rags raise 50million in shirt sales, they can spend it all on players, without servicing their debt. Whereas if City raise 25million but have no debt, they can still only spend that 25million.
In any other walk of life, that would be suicidal business as the banks would close you down instantly.
