I'm with DM4M on this. If they were any good (remember, they are professional footballers, after all) at taking corners, surely they wouldn't need the ball to be overhanging the line. Not having a go (perish the thought) Norbiton. But I don't see what advantage it gives the taker.

To put it another way, assuming our own beloved set-piece specialists also go in for 'overhanging', what good has it done us?
 
Every single bad run of results being an immediate trigger for calls of sacking the manager regardless of how successful the club has been.
