President Joe Biden

It's a great ad. I think some people in here (really just one person in particular) are fundamentally misunderstanding what this election about. It's about 1. Trump, 2. Coronavirus, and 3. The Economy. Biden is just going to hammer these themes from now until the fall, and that's a great start. American elections are still won with swing voters, and come election day if the economy still sucks, and the virus is still around no one is going to give a shit how charismatic Biden is or isn't.
I can understand where Bigga is coming from. However, that ad was a strong start for Biden. Like you said, Trump, Coronavirus and Economy. That's the punching Tree.

I'd rather respond to you than the happy clappers who can't see any further than what they want to happen for Biden. It's as if they think I want #45 to remain in and it's tiresome to keep running the same position.

#45, again, is taking risks to see which one works. Taking into account that NONE of the govs with a western economy, outside of Germany, is brilliant at dealing with the impact of COVID, he has room to engineer some action. IF that happens, he'll win, despite his shitty style as Pres.

The other thing people are ignoring, amazingly, is that if the Dems/ Biden want to act like leaders, why aren't they demanding congress stay open in this crisis? Why haven't they demanded more from the bailout for workers and WHY did they agree to the oversight position they were given, which is useless in action?

The Dems have let the GOP take the mickey cos they're also funded by big business. Imagine that over the people that put them in the position to help.

For me, it's an absolute travesty Biden/ the Dems aren't demanding more be done.

Blair, believe it or not, published his version of an 'exit strategy' as spoken about on the other thread.

As much as I do not like the man, it serves to show people some sort of leadership and if he was an option, it would make you think he's someone credible as an alternative.

So, instilling fear is not a positive path forward, is it?

This is rather like the post above I showed with 'Morning Joe'.

You say ‘instilling fear’, I say it is a forecast and warning to government. I’d have him in charge than the man who said it was a hoax and it will be gone by April

They are American’s choices. Biden is a no-brainier. Get rid of Trump and go from there

I understand that, but what kind of strategy has he offered to show his actions would be any better? This is my point and no one is bothered!

The fact that he is "not #45" shouldn't be an answer.

Has Biden got the same access to all the information as Trump?

That was a rhetorical question by the way. We all know that the answer is no, so to expect Biden to come up with a detailed plan in the absence of all the information available to the President and his administration Is just bollocks.

What is clear is that Biden wouldn’t have ignored the problem for 6 weeks and pretended it would go away.

You don't get it do you - the fact he is not 45 is the only thing that matters. He has no role in the issues of today. His role is to campaign for the nomination - he did that and he just needs the confirmation, now he needs to lay low while transitioning to the campaign for the November election.

I, literally, don't understand this reply.

I didn't know that former Prime Minster Blair was in the current UK gov.

I mean, he wouldn't bother writing an exit strat... Oh wait...
