I haven't got involved. Their human rights record is peripheral to this issue. I just called out your unsubstantiated stuff about them covering stuff up. Maybe they did, but your bias against "the CCP" clouds your judgment. (See the Biden ad for Trump's appreciation of China's actions - when he thought it wouldn't come to the USA.) The USA and the UK haven't covered stuff up (or maybe they did) - our two governments just went into denial.

I don’t have a bias against the CCP, I am rightly critical of them being undemocratic, putting Muslims into concentration camps, making journalists and doctors disappear, covering up a deadly virus and generally other extreme authoritarian measures, without actually being authoritarian in the right way of shutting these markets down.
If you’re for all that, be my guest but I don’t have to be. I’d hazard a guess that if us or the US did any of the above, youd be all over it but as it’s not a western government, you’re willing for it to go unchallenged.
The US and UK were in denial and have continuously made mistakes. The frightening thing is neither country seemed to have any sort of a plan, put together, for this eventuality.
The next time this happens, as it undeniably will, they’ll likely shut all air travel in and out of the country and be much quicker to react.
Anyway, I’ll likely be blamed for derailing the thread now despite someone else bringing up China.

I care what their foreign policy is but being so involved in their election and domestic policies is unnecessary.
Their domestic policy greatly affects many of us in dozens of ways.

Interesting POV. I don't believe this to be quite true, but if Biden's as malleable as people say he is, well, it's gonna be corporatism vs Progressive-ism, in the Dem party, over Handsy Joe's political soul.
It's a great ad. I think some people in here (really just one person in particular) are fundamentally misunderstanding what this election about. It's about 1. Trump, 2. Coronavirus, and 3. The Economy. Biden is just going to hammer these themes from now until the fall, and that's a great start. American elections are still won with swing voters, and come election day if the economy still sucks, and the virus is still around no one is going to give a shit how charismatic Biden is or isn't.Now that's a superb Ad
