The "I'm done with you" in context can be fairly read 2 ways. One is that he is done with you personally, and 2 is that he is done with your claim because he believes he has provided enough evidence to disprove it.
That's said, even if you conclude that the first reading is the only legitimate one, it still won't absolve you of the responsibility to respond to the actual substantive part of the post he presented with evidence.
You can simultaneously decry his willingness to discuss further ( assuming you believe he meant he was done talking to you), while still responding to the substance already put forward.
Often in this discussions, it is not the person you are discussing with ( i.e arguing against) that you are trying to convince, rather it's everyone else who is reading with an open mind. Thus a response is always appropriate. Even when the other side claims (or feigns) disgust and claims they'd stop responding to you.
