Firstly

I have no credibility here and I realy don't want or care if I have any, it's a football forum ffs not the UN.

Secondly

Biden may be diametrically opposed to Cheney republican stance, but they have praised each other character in the past and Cheney openly encouraged Biden to run.


And no one said he was gonna be part of the new administration, it was said he would advise him not work for him..
Lastly as I said passed on the info never stated it as fact, I leave people to use their inteligence and resourcefulness to research if it is true or not, I mean who would take a comment on an internet forum as fact without checking themselves.

When I posty opinion I normally make that clear.

It does help the rest of us if you post a link to a story you cite if it is sub-obvious though, which that one definitely was! I took a run and couldn’t find it anywhere.

Well I appreciate that. I’m a little tired, what with drinking myself silly the last few days — can you point out the section that says “some countries will be bombed”? I’m especially curious about Yemen because you typically don’t bomb nations when you specifically state you’re trying to end support for the bombing of the nation by another nation. Unless this platform is ripped from the Pentagon Papers or something.

I think he means the one saving grace of Trumps isolationist view of the US is that he didn't get involved in as much overseas military action as other Presidents. Assuming Biden has Foreign policy interests beyond Scottish golf courses and keeping Mexicans out he may well get involved in more such action and be more like Obama / Trump Jr in this respect.

Right, other than assassinating Soleimani, an act that caused a certain rather mouthy poster here to rescind his non-objection to Trump. But his point is curious as that’s not what the platform says:

End Forever Wars: Biden will end the forever wars in Afghanistan and the Middle East, which have cost us untold blood and treasure. As he has long argued, Biden will bring the vast majority of our troops home from Afghanistan and narrowly focus our mission on Al-Qaeda and ISIS. And he will end our support for the Saudi-led war in Yemen. Staying entrenched in unwinnable conflicts only drains our capacity to lead on other issues that require our attention, and it prevents us from rebuilding the other instruments of American power.

I mean, maybe it’s bullshit. But my question still stands — why?

You'll have to ask that poster (again) why he's saying what he's saying - I'm not his minder or spokesman. Trump was not an expert at conflict resolution or a pacifist by any means - just an isolationist. Personally I think his only good defence/foreign policy idea was asking us in Europe to contribute our fair share to nato. I don't see Biden as hawkish like the bush regime, but it's fair to say he will try to reassert us authority on the word stage, and this may lead to bombing more countries than trump. The ammount of countries you bomb is probably more to do with global events than who is president - if 9/11 happened in 2017 I'm sure trump would have bombed plenty.
