So, just to be absolutely clear for the sake of your present and future credibility....you have read something somewhere on social media that indicates that two diametrically opposed men, one who has just been elected President on a reform Dem ticket and one who is the singlularly most radical rifht wing nutter before Trump, who retired 12 yrs ago with heart and health problems, may be part of the new administation that has to fix the kind of division that Cheney could only dream of? And that was on social media so you took is as right. Genius. Fuck me. Youre a total idiot. And just proved it. Glad you did.

A bit harsh - I was watching CNN's election coverage and there was a discussion with one of their panel of experts and it was mentioned in passing that he had a few long-standing Republican friends, one of whom was Cheney. The part about Cheney assisting Biden on foreign policy may just have been idle speculation following on from the fact of their friendship and it then went viral on social media.

You'll have to ask that poster (again) why he's saying what he's saying - I'm not his minder or spokesman. Trump was not an expert at conflict resolution or a pacifist by any means - just an isolationist. Personally I think his only good defence/foreign policy idea was asking us in Europe to contribute our fair share to nato. I don't see Biden as hawkish like the bush regime, but it's fair to say he will try to reassert us authority on the word stage, and this may lead to bombing more countries than trump. The ammount of countries you bomb is probably more to do with global events than who is president - if 9/11 happened in 2017 I'm sure trump would have bombed plenty.

I think I already know why he's saying what he's saying :). As for Trump being an isolationist, I have maintained all along that we don't know what Trump is, because he lies and lies and lies and lies and lies. If he talks about isolationism to appease his fawning base which in turns gets them to lick his taint more lovingly, then that's what he is at that moment. That was kind of the problem with him. As for NATO, he absolutely had a fair point by my read (not that it was all European members, just some of them).

Whilst I don't know the answer to his question, I would have thought that a member of Parliament would have an idea about how these things work.

It's almost as if he was a foul, rancid racist who is a total fucking anachronism and living breathing (unfortunately) testament to just how far we have to go in this matter.

I gave the same response to @BobKowalski in the 2020 election thread. It beggars belief it really does. It makes me quite upset and I am by no means the object of his ire.
