President Joe Biden

You called my posts idiotic so why do you event want me to answer that? I suggest you should learn some manners if you want to be treated like an adult.
Yes I did call some of your posts idiotic because because they appeared to be based on specific emotive events that could not have been anticipated and I stand by that. Anyway you’ve saved me the effort of getting involved in further discussion that will doubtless lead nowhere.

I just disagree they could not be anticipated. Hardly shocking. You are judging the poster not the content. Anyhow I'm glad I have saved you some wasted time in the future. Winner winner chicken dinner not that we can buy any;-)

Well, try this. No matter what Biden does or doesn't do, if Biden is defeated in an election he will assist with transition and not incite people to storm the capital and seek to overthrow a democratic election.

Call me old fashioned, but I think trying to torch the country in an illegal power grab makes Trump the worst president by a country fucking mile and anyone not understanding that is a fucking moron.
Divert the issue. Claasic tactics.
Trump was an arse.
Biden is incompetent.
Neither was/is fit for the office they held/hold

Nope I was judging the posts.

Not had a drink today mate. I noticed your name because you have given me grief before. Strangely I have also noted you have liked some of my posts which suggests you are the type that only likes opinions that you agree with.

By the way I laughed off the fact I got dragged into the pretty diabolical brexit thread. What I put in there I was fine with.

The only time i have ever really bothered with American politics is calling Trump a fuckwit so I responded to being accused of being a fan. Yet again I have now mentioned this several times.

So Trump and needless loss of life have been a concern to me, that is all. If you think this is odd that's your business.
It’s more that I have put up a different viewpoint to yours at times and liked posts of yours that I have agreed with. Isn’t that how a forum works? I have no vendetta against you!

I‘ve not put up an opinion on Trump/Biden on here as of yet. Trump was a dangerous ****. Biden is less dangerous and hopefully will begin to heal US politics. He‘s between a rock and a hard place on Afghanistan.

I‘m not an authority on US politics, but can only think of one President that’s resigned and that was before he was removed from office.

They don’t have a culture of Presidents resigning.

The fallout of the Afghanistan debacle is playing real time. They’ve been at war for 20 years to take it from the Taliban, spending trillions of dollars, only to give it back to the Taliban.

How could Biden have done better, given the parameters dictated to him by Trump and Pompeo’s deal with the Taliban?

Trump said after the election in 2020 that he wanted troops home by Christmas which would have been an eight week timeframe give or take. If he was serious how would that proposed withdrawal been any better in terms of a) getting out all Americans and as many Afghan allies/refugees b) destroying the equipment and c) maintaining control. I don't think Biden has done a great job or even a qualified successful job now ... but 100,000+ Afghan refugees being evacuated is at least something. I don't understand how a proposed Christmas withdrawal would have been possible unless refugees were kept to a minimum or he was bluffing.

Biden was rash even those who are close to him have said he really was desperate to pull out and quickly. It's clouded his judgement and lives have been lost.

I don't think he is a bad guy from what I've heard. He has had a lot of personal shit that would break a lot of people.

But when you cost people their lives with a decision you make there should be consequences. This is not just about Biden but politicians in general.

Blair Iraq
Johnson PPE
Trump endless list

It's pretty depressing and some bluemooners are more concerned with their side rather than the rights or wrongs of certain events. Tribalism is disease in humans that causes great harm. A lot of these posters would probably agree with that but can't see they partake in it daily.

Being an old cynic let's me bash any side as I see fit. There is a certain freedom in it. Unfortunately this just means others think I'm batting for the opposition.

Trump did the exact opposite of what was required going into negotiations with the Taliban. He told them and the world the timescales and what little he wanted in return for a withdrawal. As a self professed master deal maker it was a ludicrous position to put himself in ahead of the talks and unsurprisingly it ended up being effectively a surrender document with no enforceable commitments that the Taliban had to make. That’s the shit Biden inherited and any significant deviation from that agreement would have meant a huge influx of additional troops into Afghanistan which would have been politically a disaster. This is only one of many disastrous situations he has inherited from his predecessor all of which will make his presidency a huge challenge.

Almost like it was done on purpose.

If he wins the election, he really doesn't have to care how f*cke up it gets, because he doesn't have to worry about re election. If he failed to win the election, then Biden gets a huge f*cking mess to clean up which gives him loads of ammunition for his dumb supporters to lap up in his re election campaign.

From recollection your view of me was I was a wum, if you see my post just before this you will see why I'm not if you choose to believe me. So I'm in a pretty strange position where if you agree with me i am not wumming or i am but not wumming your point of view or I'm just pissed.

It's a no win situation for me. I actually judge myself for even attempting to explain it because tomorrow normal service will be resumed.

I have a very strong moral code that some don't get. I personally find people extremely illogical in the politics forum. They will happily change their moral outlook so it fits in with their side.

This is not aimed at you but I know exactly how most will post before they actually do. Not because of their morality but because of what group they affiliate themselves to. Its why humans manage to be giant fuck ups and cause people harm.

I do like whisky mind so you have me on that one:-)
