Me too. And yet this thread and the US Politics thread contain post after post after post of reasonable folks, debating Dax.

And as an aside, have you looked at Dax's take on football ? Oh my God! Most of Dax's football posts are idiotic - insane! You'd think that followers of Bluemoon would have put Dax on ignore simply based on his football acumen and posts... but no.

Musk has outed himself as a Nazi with his sieg heils, support for the AfD and Tommy Robinson, support for only white SA farmers and any number of other things.
Calling his company’s product a swasticar is a perfectly valid comment on Musk.

As for Orange shitgibbon, I think that’s being too kind to Trump as there is no indication of his criminality, misogyny and racism in that term.

As opposed to the conspiracy theory "Russian kompromat against Trump" - for which there's zero evidence...

There's a ton of evidence that Trump pretty much doesn't give a shit about anything except his wealth, power and admiration from others. The "It honestly feels inconceivable that the U.S would get into bed with Russia" illustrates a fundamental misunderstanding of Trump.

Id just prefer calling Musk & Trump a pair of cunts. Orange Shitgibbon just reminds me of that "so random" humour that was popular with uni students in the 2000s, did my head in back then and has left a scar clearly

Depends what you mean by ‘getting into bed with Russia’ doesn’t it?

Trump acknowledges that Russia, like all countries, has legitimate security concerns and these should be respected.

He sees Russia as a significant regional power and player on the global stage.

They are influential in the Middle East, have a close relationship with important countries like India and China.

So re-establishing good relations with Russia is a good idea for an American president from a geopolitical standpoint.

Working with them when interests align and disagreeing respectfully when they don’t seems like a common sense approach, especially when you consider the risks associated with conflict between nuclear powers.

Does this constitute being in bed with Russia? I don’t think so.

We're discussing Rusia - an expansionist, fascist nation lead by a dictator, who, if possible, would invade your country and put it under complete Russian control.

And while we're at it - what "legitimate security concerns" does Russia have with respect to invasion of Ukraine?

Hold on? Do other NATO nations border Russia? If so, how is it that Ukrainian membership in NATO is a new threat to Russia to the extent that it must invade Ukraine? Or is the potential NATO membership of Ukraine just another excuse to invade a neighbor to expand territorial dominance (hint - it is)?

Clue - Russia keeps on changing its story about why it's invading Ukraine. The story started out along the lines of wiping out make-believe Ukrainian Nazi's who were targetting Russian loyalists - next some sort of tradition holds that Ukraine belongs to Russia and the vast majority of Ukrainian citizens welcome Russian membership and so Russia must act to prevent Ukrainian autonomy as this is against the will of its people... and so and and so on... lie after lie.

Tesla does have a problem in that more of its customers lean left. Sonthey can damage the company with boycotts.

But illegal boycotts are still unacceptable.

Again, you cant even quantify who doesn't wanna buy a type of car anymore. What you can quantity is who is breaking windows, scratching cars, blowing up Teslas and Tesla charging stations and who is promoting doing this as protest.

I mean i participated in the Bud light boycott. But then again, it was easy coz i don't drink beer anyways and never bought one before the protests.

If someone suggests those burning down Bud light trucks ( no one did by the way) were illegally protesting, i wouldn't suddenly go "Oh my God! How fare you compare me to Truck burners." It's silly. My protest is not illegal.

If you really think that when Donald Trump said “illegal boycott” he intended to draw a distinction between the thousands of people who have voted with their wallets and the few criminals who have caused criminal damage and arson, you need to take particular care when it comes to emails suggesting you have won the Nigerian lottery.
