Hold on? Do other NATO nations border Russia? If so, how is it that Ukrainian membership in NATO is a new threat to Russia to the extent that it must invade Ukraine? Or is the potential NATO membership of Ukraine just another excuse to invade a neighbor to expand territorial dominance (hint - it is)?

Clue - Russia keeps on changing its story about why it's invading Ukraine. The story started out along the lines of wiping out make-believe Ukrainian Nazi's who were targetting Russian loyalists - next some sort of tradition holds that Ukraine belongs to Russia and the vast majority of Ukrainian citizens welcome Russian membership and so Russia must act to prevent Ukrainian autonomy as this is against the will of its people... and so and and so on... lie after lie.

My point is that there are legitimate reasons why Trump would want to end this war without all the conspiracy stuff.

This is what happens when a small group of people create an echo chamber, they can’t and won’t accept that literal Hitler could have any good reasons for his actions.

Maybe Putin does have video of Russian prostitutes pissing on Trump after all?

Or maybe Trump is an American president trying to use his position to stop people dying?

I support his attempt to end the carnage and I wish him well.

Or a much, much more likely maybe is that Trump is all about self, just hoping for fame - and that this is his sole motivation for trying to stop the war. There's a potential Noble Peace Prize in the offing if he succeeds.

If somehow Trump is able to end this war on terms acceptable to Ukraine, then he's accidently done good in the world.

What happens when a small group of people create an echo chamber is that people with different views who are outside it never — ever — think “Gosh, all these people think x; maybe I’m wrong.”

Also — it isn’t small, bud. It’s huge. Maybe take that as a cue to revisit your viewpoint.
