How did you figure that? The only people acting like children are those who can't accept other adults don't agree with them.

All the revenge/ grievance talk is just projection. I mean, the country was on the wrong path in general said 74% of people polled.

What's the likelihood the country sticks with the party in power under such a circumstance? Unlikely.

I am amused at so many smart people who can't seem to wrap their heads around this most basic of ideas.

If I am suffering and there is an opportunity to make a change.. I WILL try toale that change. Most people would. Even if the change turns out to not bring the relief you wanted, it was still a better decision than continuing in a state of suffering and not trying something different.

There are 2 types of people who tend not to understand this:

1. The privileged. Coz they aren't really suffering, so it doesn't really matter to them.

2. The ideologues. Even though they may be suffering, they hold ideology above all other things.

Figure out which one you are.

Anyway, in actual Donald Trump news:

ABC news has agreed to a settlement to pay 15 million dollars to The Trump Presidential Library and George Stephanopoulos has agreed to pay 1 million dollars in legal fees to Trump lawyers.

This as part of a settlement related to a defamation case brought by Trump Lawyers against Georgie boy who in an interview repeatedly claimed Trump was found liable for rape when in fact he wasn't. They also agreed to issue an apology for their 'mistake.'

Still don't understand what data the "suffering" is based on vs. the feeling of suffering. You haven't offered much if any evidence that this anything but a grievance and a "feeling" vote. The economy's on the wrong track, eh? Is that due to the shitty economy with its massive ongoing recession, high levels of joblessness, crappy stock and housing markets, or the inflation that's the lowest in the western world, existed due to COVID supply chain shocks, and has been coming down? The near all-time low poverty rate?

Worry about the future isn't suffering -- we ALL worry about the future.

Where is the math(s) that support(s) the current suffering? Not the vague feeling of suffering -- the data?

Yeah, that’s really solid info for determining the direction of a country, esp when one side is stoking the fire and the fear so they can take over and NOT fix a damned thing!

They’re hurting because they feel like they can’t upgrade their iPhone 15 Pro to an iPhone 16 Pro! They’re hurting because their flexible rate credit card, coupled with their horrible credit, is now at 30% and they’re buying their big screen TV on credit and paying the minimum every month!

And don’t get me started on the manicures and tats!

NEWSFLASH: There are people on the lowest rung of the economic ladder and they wish they had more.

NEWSFLASH: Education helps you get a job.

NEWSFLASH: Poverty is at record lows and free healthcare is a reality for those at the bottom, so they avoid the major cause of bankruptcy in America.

NEWSFLASH: Having an iPhone, a flash car/truck, and big screen TV are actually not rights enshrined in the Constitution.

NEWSFLASH: The economy is in great shape! In fact, it’s in such great shape that jobs are in plentiful supply and inflation is lower than it’s been in years.

NEWSFLASH: I’m guessing 74% of people polled don’t know those facts!
