President Trump

Fucking hell, why hasn’t the price of eggs gone down yet? Was told “it’s the economy stupid” and yet I’m still paying more than I did two weeks ago for my breakfast. WTF? Shouldn’t be that hard — just threaten the chickens with tariffs if they don’t start producing more.
Wait till tariffs on Colombian coffee hit the USA.

Here's a serious question. Would most long-term contracts for imports have a break clause if a state imposed tariffs, or would the importer just have to stump up?

The price of cocaine should be on though, so Don Jr will be happy.

We shouldn't be appeasing the **** in any way. We should be polite and courteous and nothing more.

He'd fuck us in a heartbeat either way if it suited him politically and financially.

Especially when he's got this fascist nonce whispering in his ear...

Absolutely.
We here in Ireland have a new government (kind of) and our reliance on American multinationals makes us particularly vulnerable.
There will be a very close eye on how they handle this in the early stages of his EU bullying.
I can see our crowd sucking up to the Cnut.

Didn't take him long to get Colombia to change it's mind did it?
No, and that was fairly predictable, and like any bulky he’ll no doubt be emboldened by that.

He is an utterly malign **** who thrives off disharmony and discontent. People like that make the world a far worse place than it otherwise would be.

How can they not?

Easy to say behind a keyboard, but when you are a PM and have a economy to think about it's a different matter -

Dame Harriett Baldwin, the shadow business minister, has urged the government to "lean into" the friendly relationship it has with US President Donald Trump.
Asked about Mr Trump's call with Sir Keir Starmer, she told Sky News Breakfast: "I'm glad they had a friendly and constructive call.
"I think it's really important that they have a good relationship, a good call.
"I would like to hear that positivity taken on board in terms of working out how we can do even more business together, even more trade together, because I am very concerned about the UK's growth at the moment.
"I think that the ramifications from the budget that the chancellor made back in October are feeding through into a very worrying picture of the UK economy.
"Its of importance that the government takes steps not only to lean into this positive relationship with the US, but also learn the lessons of what's gone wrong with the budget."
it is important to create a "better environment" for investors in the UK, alleging that the budget was "very damaging for growth".

The Trump Strategy.
1. Appoint incompetent oafs to cabinet posts who will defer to him to increase his own power.
2. Activate schedule F enabling non partisan civil servants to be sacked for no cause. Replace with Trump loyalists.
He has already illegally sacked about 20 Inspectors General whose job is to oversee federal agencies and prevent criminal acts, incompetence and waste.
Now he is sacking the senior lawyers in the immigration section who have a quasi-judicial function deciding on asylum and immigration.
The honours system under which law graduates enter government service as non partisan civil servants has been junked.(All this was in Plan 2025 that he claims is not policy.)
3. Piss off allies as a precursor to leaving NATO. “We will have Greenland.”
4. Withdraw from international bodies such as WHO and Paris Climate Agreement.
5. Put into immediate effect Immigrant expulsion raids.
6. Put into immediate effect trade tariffs and threaten severe sanctions on any country that displeases him.
7. Remove protection from those in Democratic governments who displeased or pursued him then bad mouth them on line so his recently freed domestic terrorists can do their worst.
8. Ramp up vote denying activities against the young and black people to fix elections. In N.Carolina the contested election for Attorney General was won by a democrat. Three recounts confirmed this. The Maga machine immediately moved to invalidate the vote by objecting to thousands of votes. The state Supreme Court supported the motion to withhold confirmation of the election.
9. Threaten to make Federal emergency aid conditional on the state agreeing to his terms. Threaten to abolish FEMA.
10. Suspend all foreign aid including that to Ukraine.
11. Threaten territorial expansion.

All going swimmingly for the dictator for one day.

9. Reduce the price of eggs.

Nope, getting the illegals out of States, well done Donald.
I'm terribly confused.

I keep being told how socio-economically valuable these migrants are to the countries they flock to, including here in the UK.

And yet the leaders of the migrant's home countries throw foot stamping tantrums on having those highly valued migrants repatriated back to their home countries.

It's almost as though those migrants are actually the dregs of society and their home countries were glad to see the back of them, but that surely can't be right. Can it?...

It’s about job opportunities in the west and lack thereof in the third world.
Some crops are already being lost as undocumented workers don’t turn up out of fear of the raids. The previous US rule was to limit raids to areas within a specified distance of the border. That way, farming was largely protected. No longer.

Perhaps the pittance they are paid in their adopted or migrant countries is not an affordable wage in their own country.
Migrant labour usually emigrates out of a necessity of one sort or another.
Painting them all as the violent dregs is lazy at best, but usually has a far more sinister underlying agenda.

It also terribly confuses me that British people actually don’t mind these people being in our country.

Think the migrant worker illegal imigrant line is being blurred here.

So you're acknowledging that the reason our corporate rulers have brainwashed the idiots in society into unthinkingly supporting mass immigration is because those corporate rulers want to import people to be little more than slaves, earning illegally low pay in the gig economy and grey economy and being housed in squalid, illegal HMO's.

All of which obviously drives down the value of labour, erodes employees T&C's and diminishes job security and increases the cost of accommodation, again more multiple wins and benefits for the greedy corporations and parasitic rentier classes.

Our corporate rulers and establishment elite really have done a cracking job of turning the left who supposedly despise them into actually being their very useful idiots acting on their behalf.
