President Trump

The Guardian featured that in an article about his alleged mental acuity:

My mum has 2x dementia , some of the random changes of thought by Trump remind me of her.
She’s still far more articulate, rational, compassionate, selfless, knowledgeable and truthful now, than he has ever been in his entire life.

Trump often speaks without clear purpose - he speaks in a meandering stream of consciousness - mixed in with lies and whatever he thinks his base wants to hear - in long winded sentences jumping from topic to topic which make no sense. Into the mix, Trump is an insomniac, up far late into the night on social media, getting few hours of sleep, which likely leads to his strange exposition.

Sure - a 79 year old Trump likely is less articulate than he was 20 years or so ago, but I doubt that this is particularly newsworthy. I probably hate Trump more than you do... but I think that stories purporting cognitive decline are overblown.

In contrast to this - my skeptical self, thinks that - there may be some truth to the supposition that Trump is suffering from congestive heart failure; as sensational as this claim is, I think that there's enough evidence - biased as it may be - to take this claim seriously.

I agree about the cognitive failure being overblown. He is just thick and a liar.
His inability to hold a train of thought is just part of his total indiscipline. He is a butterfly.

He was actually relatively coherent in that cabinet room ramble - but he was a tour guide explaining all the paintings in the room.

Here's where he had the cabinet wondering "what on earth..."

I'm a huge skeptic about sensational attack articles - which Packman's post is - but there's a bunch of visual evidence to back Packman's claims; bruised hands, possible catheter concealed under his clothing; IV administration of blood thinners starts by injecting into veins in the hands causing bruising over time; the side effect of such medication may cause urinary incontinence - hence the need for a catheter - which aligns with the strange bulge seen under Trump's thigh; Trump's swollen ankles, and so on.

From now on the jobs numbers will come from a guy who confuses a dementia test for an IQ test, says he weighs 215lbs, talks about Two Corinthians, and promises drug price reductions up to 1400% "the likes of which you’ve never even dreamed of before."

Aren't Trump's continuing claims about McEntarfer actionable? Defamatory? Yes. Yes they are. Will she sue? Nope.

"When leaders of other nations have politicized economic data, it has destroyed public trust in all official statistics and in government science."

Remember this guy complained US COVID testing was actually too good, too extensive, producing too many positives, and the numbers made "us look bad." Look bad. Reminds me of his complaint a couple of weeks ago that starving Palestinians didn't say "thank you" and that made him "feel bad." Yes, he said that.

Anyway...

"But Trump did not set any achievable targets for that aim, instead outlining a range of percentages which would yield negative prices, meaning drug companies would have to pay people to take their medications.

'We will have reduced drug prices by 1,000 percent by 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400, 700, 600,' Trump said. 'Not 30 or 40 or 50 percent, but numbers the likes of which you’ve never even dreamed of before.'”

"...the likes of which you’ve never even dreamed of before."

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — President Donald Trump said Saturday he’s asked his administration to slow down coronavirus testing because robust testing turns up too many cases of COVID-19.

Trump told supporters at his campaign rally that the U.S. has tested 25 million people, far more than any other country. The “bad part,” Trump said, is that widespread testing leads to logging more cases of the virus.

“When you do testing to that extent, you’re going to find more people, you’re going to find more cases,” Trump said. “So I said to my people, ‘Slow the testing down, please.’ They test and they test.”

“If we stopped testing right now, we’d have very few cases, if any. If you don’t test, you don’t have any cases."

"Our testing is so much bigger and more advanced than any other country (we have done a great job on this!) that it shows more cases. Without testing, or weak testing, we would be showing almost no cases. Testing is a double edged sword - Makes us look bad, but good to have!!!"

Trump: Epstein? Why is everyone still talking about that? Weaklings!
Trump: "POCAHONTAS!"

Trump and his dad pretended to be Swedish to sell real estate to Jews after WWII.

The presidential hopeful spoke about his pride in his German heritage in a 2014 documentary, Kings of Kallstadt.

"The people of Kallstadt — they're strong, they're reliable people — and I feel that about myself. I'm strong, and I'm very reliable. I'm on time. I get things done," he said.

WASHINGTON, Aug 4 (Reuters) - U.S. states and cities that boycott Israeli companies will be denied federal aid for natural disaster preparedness, the Trump administration has announced, tying routine federal funding to its political stance.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency stated in grant notices posted on Friday that states must follow its "terms and conditions." Those conditions require they certify they will not sever “commercial relations specifically with Israeli companies” to qualify for funding.

The requirement applies to at least $1.9 billion that states rely on to cover search-and-rescue equipment, emergency manager salaries and backup power systems among other expenses, according to 11 agency grant notices reviewed by Reuters.

The requirement is the Trump administration's latest effort to use federal funding to promote its views on Israel.
The Department of Homeland Security, the agency that oversees FEMA, in April said that boycotting Israel is prohibited for states and cities receiving its grant funds.

FEMA separately said in July that U.S. states will be required to spend part of their federal terrorism prevention funds on helping the government arrest migrants, an administration priority.

The Israel requirement takes aim at BDS, the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement designed to put economic pressure on Israel to end its occupation of Palestinian territories. The campaign's supporters grew more vocal in 2023, after Hamas attacked southern Israel and Israel invaded Gaza in response.

“DHS will enforce all antidiscrimination laws and policies, including as it relates to the BDS movement, which is expressly grounded in antisemitism,” a spokesperson for Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem said in a statement.

The requirement is largely symbolic. At least 34 states already have anti-BDS laws or policies, according to a University of Pennsylvania law journal article.

FEMA's Israel requirement is "shameful," said Mahmoud Nawajaa of the BDS Movement in a statement on Monday.

The American Jewish Committee supports the Trump administration's policy, said Holly Huffnagle, the group's director of antisemitism policy. The AJC is an advocacy group that supports Israel.

Swollen ankles is also a condition related to arthritis

Trump prioritizing israel over americans has him shredding more support again. Right wing maga types calling it treason:
