really thought tevez would of been there today

but his agent said he will decide his future between 1st august and 3rd august. so him appearing this morning was impossible.

He just said that we've lodged a bid for Eto'o and are obviouslyinterested in Tevez. H e said it is early in the process of all deals and if they are not moving forwards and we are having no joy, we will have no hesitation to pull out of deals like we have done in the past.

How many times?

I'll stick my money on 8-10...

Place your bets!

Re: Sky Sports News

I can't imagine that there are any rags watching sky news today ...... they're probably all out today wetting themselves on Sussex Downs and throwing parties in the sun about the incomparable excitement of signing Antonio (who?) Valencia , the next 'big thing' to hit the Swamp ........ yes , he should make them forget all about Lord twinkletoes of Madrid , might take him twenty years , but he should do it!

I never even noticed he was on the pitch in most of Wigans matches , no wonder there was hardly a rush for his signature ........ and he hardly had much of an impact whenever Wigan played the rags , did he?

I can't imagine why he'd want to wear those fuckin' awful new shirts of theirs either!

Players become available we are interested. Is that all MH fucking says! He has got to be the most boring person to hear in a press conference! Never gives anything away. And also is that the worst press conference you have ever heard???? Even Barry's was better!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol, he's great. I don't want him talking like a 5 dollar whore to the media. Keep them guessing.

This is what he said:
It was confirmed on Tuesday that Eto'o would prefer to remain with Barcelona amid a wrangle over a £25million fee that would be paid by City to sign the Cameroon star.

However, Hughes has not given up hope of getting his man.

"We have made an offer but there appears to be a situation between the player and his club that we cannot be part of," said the Blues chief.

"We just have to sit back and see what develops. Patience is a word that has been mentioned and we may need some of it."

Hughes also confirmed City are interested in signing Carlos Tevez, who has left rivals Manchester United.

Yet it does not appear the Argentina star is an imminent arrival.

"I am a huge admirer of Carlos," he said.

"Everyone is aware of his situation and we are interested, as we are in all top quality players.

"We will have to see what happens but these are very early days."

Yeh, a guy who has some proffessionalism when talking about other clubs players.

HUGHES OUT!!!

He's a 'triffic player but he's at another club.

STOP losing patience

everyone seems really pissed off today that eto'o and tevez wern't sat there hugging rocky this morning.
It really doesn't matter if anything happens today, nor will it matter if we haven't signed anyone by next week. The fact is we will be most probably getting tevez and/or eto'o but deals for players of this calibre take time. im no transfer expert but it's obvious.
Three years ago all we would have been doing now is asking each other who we should get out of the portsmouth freebies, lets get a grip and just wait to see what happens.

spitting out your dummy will just make us look like a joke club. And that is the last thing we all want.
