Pretty Naff films that you actually quite like

Whisper it, but Grease. More corn than a cornfield. But there's something weirdly enjoyable about it. And ONJ back in the day; wow.

Bit confused by the definition of Sideways as “naff.” Got huge positive reviews in the States and was on a lot of critics’ Ten Best lists. Oddly I was actually at an Xmas party just tonight where we were talking about it with a guy in the wine business (I’m in Nor Cal after all) and we were wondering if it was responsible for killing merlot.

The Omen is another that I recall got a lot of positive reviews.

Here’s one detested by critics that I think is very funny — Tommy Boy.
Sideways is by not stretch of the imagination "naff".

The Hunt for Red October.

Almost to the point where I know a ton of lines off by heart. Don't know why it is such a great film to me as it's a bit ridiculous but I love it.

Including one waaaaaaaay the hell out at Pearl.

Watched Runaway Jury earlier. None of those John Grisham adaptations were that good, but it was ideal fodder in front of the telly today. Fine acting from Rachel Weisz too.

Who Dares Wins (1982 Lewis Collins)

Gets a lot of derision but the way it depicts revolutionaries is quite funny in hindsight.

On Movies4Men at 9 actually

The scene where the SA blasst their way through the wall to rescue Skellen's wife from a couple of the "People's Front" activists is hilarious.
