Price of Asahi Super Dry at ground

Biggest waste of money/rip off I’ve ever had at City last night with that pathetic effort of a thing called a ‘Burger Sub’ or somethingorother.

£7.50 and it was fucking tiny! Three bites and I’d finished it and it was nearly all bread with the utter bare minimum of meat on it… I should have take a picture it was that bad, it was about a 6inch long sub and only the middle two-thirds had this thin bit of meat in it that literally looked like a very small piece of shit.

Very disappointing. Won’t be bothering with that ever again!

£5 for a pint of lager at an events venue is still pretty reasonable.

Doubt you’d get a cheaper pint at a gig venue for example.

I think the beer prices at City aren’t too bad, it’s the food prices and the service that takes the piss.

Personally I think it's scandalous and like Wembley people have been brainwashed to accept it's just " The price you have to pay for going to an event." If nobody paid it the price would soon drop.

How much was it last season? Under £5? How much has it gone up by? (City aren't forcing you to buy it jrb)

Any other drink and food prices gone up at the Etihad?
It was £5.30 last season and £4.77 with the 10% discount applied, so it’s a near 10% increase this season. They’re taking the piss a bit with that and it’s indicative of food and drink inflation in general. However, I paid £7 for a pint of Asahi at the same South Stand bar when watching Coldplay at the end of May and I doubt that there are many places in Manchester doing Asahi for less than £5.27 a pint to be fair.

Does anybody actually like it? I've drank it out of curiosity but I'm not a fan. Why, as a northern club, can't we get a pint of bitter?

Don't buy it, it really is that simple, for an 8pm kick off wtf are people needing to buy chips or subs or other food for?

You would surely have had your tea at the normal 5pm ish time.

Venues for gigs and football are notorious for quality and price, simply do not use and you won't be disappointed, find a chippy on the way back from the football and enjoy your meal.

I was at a 3pm game yesterday and any amount of folk were coming past with insipid-looking hotdogs, tiny pizzas and pies.

Who needs a pizza at 3:45 in the afternoon anyway?

The match finished at 4:50, I was home inside 20 minutes, made tea and got ready to watch our game on the TV.

The biggest rip off increase is the parking at the school on grey mare lane, last season it was £7 a match yesterday it was £10….when I asked why it had increased so much over the close season I was told their costs have increased like everything else in the world haha….it’s a piece of land not like they have suppliers who have Increased their costs and have to pass it on

Eh? I always have my tea at the ground for a night game. Get to the ground about an hour before kick off and have a bit of food and a pint.

I was in the pub from about 13.00, got to the ground at about 19.00 and bought the most pathetic thing I’ve ever had at City, it was a joke how shit it was for £7.50 (it was like the outside ⅛ of a proper beef burger had been torn off and put inside a bread roll) . So when I went to the bar for a pint I got a pie that was spot on.

Lesson learnt, won’t be buying that burger thing again. But I’ll still be having my tea at the ground for night games.
