Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

Unfortunately some won't want to be fed scraps, and others have got out the habit. Other excuses are available.
If they see it as being fed scraps maybe they aren’t real Blues. We all have times when we have a few quid and other times when we are short. Many times I walked from Stretford to Maine Road and back because I only had the admission money for the Kippax.

It’s a big game with the lads chasing the Champs League places. Fans also have a chance to protest against ticket prices and Vianogo.

I agree, because I see it as watching City rather than watching Leicester. However I'm sure some won't be happy to be allowed to see us play Leicester but be priced out when we play Real Madrid or the rags.

I get your point Ged. I think these people aren’t in the real world. For example, fans who make up the Yellow Wall in Dortmund turn up with their supporters groups week in week out. It’s not a case of only being there for Bayern Munich at home.

Exactly, most people young and old are scrolling through Facebook and social media right up to kick off ,showing the person their with what so and so is up to on his holiday, laughing at some clip - it’s completely taken away the build up for the match.
I’ve had someone next to me on FaceTime for the entirety of the game, his mate on the other end watched the full game live from a seat on the halfway line for free.
I think this is actually against PL regulations.

Another was texting all first half and barely looked up from his phone once. He also didn’t celebrate when we scored twice and tried pushing me when I celebrated with the lad on the other side of him (on purpose) so I shouted at him ‘why the fuck are you here?’ and he didn’t come back for the second half.

How dare you interfere with his game of mahjong?

If you are priced out, some tickets are being given away on the Face Value pages for Wednesday
Loads of Blues will have no idea what face value pages are or where to find them, even if they do loads of people are quite cynical and wouldn’t trust them.

It's one of the main reasons i don't go anymore, surrounded by iPhone obsessed narcissists

Blues should be in a position to afford the tickets from the club and not have to late plan and rely on cheap tickets that the tourists don't want.

It's appalling really.

Its the same everywhere though aint it ?
At work on your break,on public transport, even in the pub,
my dad is 85 and when I go see him,he's on his mobile 90% of my visit.
A bit like me reading this on my mobile now.
(Note to self: stop going on Bluemoon!)

But I do agree with you though.

100%

We aren't planning on doing the queueing this July for tickets.
Will probably look the week before each game ,it's not right but what else can you do ?

I'm not even sure if it's worth being a citizen matchday or belonging to a OSC anymore as that only gets 2 tickets per game.

That’s their issue mate. I’ve given specific details
many times over the years but in the new world of ticket compliance managers, people who want the benefits might have to put in a bit of their own elbow grease.

Many blues wont even bother because they can't get 2 seats near each other not conducive to taking a child to see the match really.

The slow uptake on this Leicester match is an indication of just how short term the club is thinking, the row after row of iphone waving match experiencers can't be arsed with this fixture and the club are expecting City fans they have shit on to pick up the slack.

The new Citizens matchday is flexi gold, I don't know how 140,000 matchday accounts can access tickets on a weekly basis because they can't, it's a con.

Agreed, but at football and gigs especially you just want to watch the show. Not see a sea of phones in front of you, its embarrassing. Transport is understandable.

We bought tickets ( not sat together ) for the wolves game back in July. I booked a weeks holiday in the Peak District with the intention of meeting my lad and our mates at the ground on the Saturday. Now 10 months later the game is move to Friday night and none of us can go. So it's back on the phone to get refunds.

I realised that access to tickets wasn't something you could rely on with the matchday membership so I ditched it, OK if you want to watch a match that nobody else is arsed with but other than that it's free money for the club.

Lad across from me goes to most matches and isn't a season ticket holder, he buys from other sites. He is a proper blue so don't begrudge him.

What irks me is the club selling £35 memberships and then selling the tickets to touting sites, why take the £35 if it isn't just for pure greed?

City won't issue new season tickets next season, regardless of City Matters and the fan protests, here's why.

At the start of every season City put tickets for every home game on sale. That way City front load all the ticket money, bank it, and make interest from it. If City issued 1000 - 2000 season tickets next season they would lose 1000 - 2000 front loaded ticket sales, plus the interest. With Flexi-Gold City can claw some of that front loaded money back via the £150 and £75 payment scam.
