Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

I sold my tickets for Saturday due to my lad having a game in the morning which has now been cancelled. Just gone on the website to see if I can buy an adult and junior, I sure can for £94, can't afford that unfortunately

i know a tour guide at city it booked solid at half term and now open till 8 at night all tourist. the tour is changing to free flow where they get headphones and walk set route with less tour guides so they will not turn anyone away as they do at present while it's like this tickets will stay high
 
I tried to pass my ticket on as I’m working on Saturday, but I had no takers. I listed the ticket for the first time on Ticket Exchnage this morning. It sold for £61. Block 115.

It just annoys me when I see what Bradford are doing, cheap prices, packing the place, fans love it, players love it, great atmosphere. I know City can't sell for a tenner, but £71 mid-week against Villa is madness. For football tourists it's nothing really as a once-off, but for regulars it's simply too much for 1 game. That's the core problem, there are enough "once off fans" willing to pay the higher price. For now...
Matchday revenue is such a small component, charging £50 would still be high, but it'd be better than £71. City seem terrified that fans will buy for £50 and sell it on for £100, but that can only happen for maybe 5/6 games a season. And they price those games accordingly. The rest are crazy prices, lower the cost, pack the place, improve the product.
 
I’ve just given away 5 tickets for Saturday with help off a mate. I can’t promise they will miss the first 9 minutes!

I'd argue they can do it it's just unrealistic as nobody else is doing it in the Premier League. The ticket income revenue on a match day is far more important to those further down the football pyramid. So in many ways it makes their offer even more generous.

Agree about the other points. Taking it upon themselves to ban blues for selling their tickets on at face value and at the same time dotting the I's and crossing the T's on a new Viagogo deal. Oh the irony!

Part of the madness is that many Blues on the Face Value ticket pages save up to buy hospitality tickets from the Club for special occasions. City are attacking a significant income stream.

Don't worry Timothy. I'm sure if they ban them it would only relate to the standard tickets. They'd still happily take that hospitality dough off them.

With their warped way of thinking they probably believe if they ban them from their normal seats they might be able to afford to do hospitality twice a season instead of just the once.

Probably true what you say mate. I know the club want everyone to use the official ticket site and exchange. Maybe it’s reasonable to expect this but our admin / management don’t understand the loathing for the official system amongst many fans. It’s more than a price issue.
 
I've not been priced out. I stopped going a couple of years back because I was bored with football and didn't enjoy it any more. Don't even have Sky Sports and I use my nephews Sky Go tif I fancy a game, but to be honest I don't think I've watched a full 90 minute game for 3 years now apart from one or two games. I had the Derby on at the weekend and spent most of it reading a book and following the Matchday Thread.

Used to go to all home games and the odd away game. I just got bored watching games.
