Priced out?

The thing is with all these tourists is they really must be easily pleased.

Most of our football has been stale and boring this year....if I was a neutral I'd never dream of putting one of our games at the top of my 'must do' list. Yes I suppose they can tick a box and say they've been but I'd for example rather have an unticked box than be board to death and lighter in the wallet watching Opera.
I don't think some of them are there for the outcome any more than screaming schoolgirls went to Beatles' concerts to hear the music. To some, City might as well be the boyband of the moment. They are there to wet their knickers over their favourite one and go home with a poster and a t-shirt. We have quite a photogenic team at the moment and football is getting the fangirl treatment. I was joking the other day when I said it felt like I was at K-Pop concert, but it turns out I was onto something! According to the M.E.N City has directly targeted K-Pop fans. And these days kids at gigs show their devotion not by screaming, but standing still, muttering between themselves and filming every moment rather than being in the moment. Maybe we'll all be getting friendship bracelets next, like they do at Taylor Swift...

I genuinely believe that unless there will be mass protests and walkouts, the club will just carry on increasing pricing and going down the road of aiming for tourists.

The club don't care about the fans financial predicament, they want maximum money for their product and unfortunately know they can get it via the tourist route.

If anyone has ever been to a resort abroad where tourists are kept apart from the poor locals we are slowly but surely becoming the poor locals.

Hell the club are even building a hotel for their "Special" guests :)

That hotel will only hold a tiny proportion of the 8,000 additional seats and will probably make more money from concerts.

Not necessarily. The tourists will only pick up so much of the slack. Empty seats will become more commonplace.

Profits first ehh?

Mind you we can always brag about it all whilst we are being fucked over I suppose there's that.
We needed investors. You don’t get those without profits and or / increase in business values. That’s part of the reality of being a well run football club as opposed to the shambles under Swales etc. It’s OK though because Swales was a Blue.

They want maximum money and don’t care about fans facing hardships, true. The other part of the truth is that tourists can only fill part of the ground and a majority of seats need to be taken by genuine Blues.
