Priced out?

The diehards will turn up week in week out, until
We are too old to go.

The seat blockers “with 29 year old kids” who’ve, stopped young families getting tickets together “in the glory years” will be asked to move a few rows.

City need to stop making PR gaffs and excessive changes to ticketing arrangements. We can’t do much about the bad decision to have hospitality seats in the middle of the North Stand

Blues who are worried about empty seat jibes will need to get thicker skins. Most of those seats will be filled anyway if tickets / season cards are affordable.
Fans need to see not selling out the stadium every game as a good thing ,not something terrible, as long as we are only talking about no more than couple of thousand. Don't think the few hundred GA+ will make the slightest difference to the success or otherwise of the new stand.

Not all will. 50 year plus Season ticket holder sits in front of me, the DD bounced from his bank account the first payment of the new season. The club cancelled his season ticket. No correspondence. No phone call. Just gone.
Can’t believe there isn’t more to this. Has he/she missed a communication. What have the club said when contacted?

I've never met any of the titular (i.e. board) directors. I've never even met Soriano, which I think says it all.

I've criticised the board as I don't believe it meets good corporate governance standards, as it didn't while John Wardle was Chair. The only executive on the MCFC Ltd board is Simon Cliff. Not the CEO, CFO or COO. At the level of City's board I'd expect at least two of those to be named as directors.

There's no Mancunians or football people. There are 2 Emiratis, an American, an Australian, an Italian and 2 British people, one of whom (John MacBeath) is/was a season ticket holder at Reading.

Why is there no room for City-supporting non-executives like David Bernstein, Sir Howard Davies or former MP John Leech? What exactly does an Italian yacht-maker bring to the table?
Genuine question - does anyone have any idea how this compares with the boards of other top 4 clubs?

The family stand is in tier 0, not the new extended tier 1.

We have no idea yet whether there are GA+ seats in the extension or not, although perhaps there'll be a small section for The Cross Bar? The only GA+ seats at the moment confirmed are at the back of tier 0 under the overhang. Not that I think GA+ seats are an issue, certainly not enough to generate some of the frothing at the mouth posts we've had on here.

Being a Stretford Blue and fighting our corner on a daily basis, I find people being sensitive about a few hundred empty seats a bit strange.

To be fair Tim, think it’s the manner it’s been done that has really cheesed people off. I’m nearby but unaffected but I’d be mightily cheesed off if I found out in the same manner as our affected brothers and sisters did.
Communication is key and on this occasion, as on a number of other occasions, we appear to have shot ourselves in the foot.
Instead of being excited about the new stand, and I still am, we’ve got an issue when we really could have dealt with it better, without it being as divisive as it is now becoming.
Hopefully a mutually agreeable solution can be found.

Maybe it could have been made clearer exactly whats happening, but unsure how it could have been handled better, those affected as far as I understand were e-mailed before it was announced, would it have been better the other way around, wouldn’t have thought so.

True mate. The communications have been poor. I think it is video 6 from 1894 , showing a very reasonable Blue whose prepared to move and just wants to understand the options and timetable for him and his friends.

I hope everyone gets a satisfactory solution, even the guy who ran to the MUEN.

Sorry mate but being e-mailed half an hour or less before the announcement doesn’t cut it for me. Not everyone is on top of their e-mails 24/7 and as the e-mails dropped out of the blue it’s entirely possible that some fans did only find out through the initial announcement before they’d seen the e-mail.

Whichever way you look at it, it’s another example of poor comms from the club.

Fair enough didn’t know it was only half an hour.
