Priced out?

If local fans are knocking it on the head, than lots like me who have long journeys must be knocking it on the head to.

I'm certainly not in a rush to try and get tickets at the moment. Got at game in April and one in May

I would normally jump at any chance of a ticket. For the first time ever I turned down a ticket, the rags on the 15th.
It's near Christmas and I can't warrant 72quid plus travel cost etc.

I feel now that I have turned this ticket down I will find it easier to do it again.

Been good ride these last 40 odd years !

Quite fancied going tonight as I'm off work tomorrow and it's an earlier kick off.

Gone on to the site and it still says "restricted sale". I'm a Citizens member(the £25 one) but not a matchday member. I don't know if being a matchday member would make me eligible to buy one but then it's £35 plus the price of the ticket. Not doing that.

If I see a single empty seat on TV tonight...

Go into the Ticket Exchange on here. There's plenty of Blues selling their ticket below face value tonight.

At least it isn't £62 like the Rags are now charging against Forest on Saturday for Adults, Pensioners and kids. Trying to find a slight positive on our ticket prices. Which really isn't a positive.

The difference is that United will still sell out because they have legions of tourists and infrequent attendees who are happy to pay those prices.

They are the flag bearer for the Tourist Clubs.

I genuinely feel sorry for the local match-going United fans I know who are priced out.

City's fanbase is entirely different and we cannot sustain the ticket prices that have come off the back of Haaland signing and the Treble. That demand for tickets has subsided and although it might feel to us like we have hoards of daytrippers who will still come and pay extortionate prices, we only have a fraction compared to United and Liverpool.

It's the club's call. Engage with legacy fans and treat them well, or be happy with thousands of empty seats and a crap atmosphere.

A case in point was last season. Back to back home games in horrendous conditions. Burnley was a terrible atmosphere with empty seats. Returned / unsold seats in South Stand L3 were made available for £30 for the next home game against Brentford (possibly Bournemouth) and it was a good atmosphere in a pretty much full ground.

prices are ridiculous and the lockdown shown them that they don't need us despite them saying 'football without fans is nothing' , we are stuck between a rock and a hard place and it is inevitable games will be played abroad , as soon as stadiums are not full they have there excuse to play games abroad
