Priced out?

The process of ticketing and everything that goes with it has fascinated me for years! I sometimes find myself saying ‘high ticket prices are the price of success’ and sometimes say that it’s awful to put the prices up for games like £50/£60 for Southampton at home for members for example.
I got a flexi gold this season and still annoyed about the £150 ‘membership fee’ to guarantee my seat.

There won’t be any more gold season tickets as long as we are an elite team.

If we get charged/relegated I fear that the club will be desperate to get fans back in as thousands will piss off.
You have teens and kids who have only known success, tourists who want a share of Haaland and pep.

Does anyone think the high prices and the fact they are trying to squeeze as much money out of us as possible is because they are worried about the finances/charges etc?

As I’m now a tourist supporter when I come over I make sure I get a ticket. All my mates who maintained their season tickets put me onto a lad they sell their tickets to when they can’t go. The thing is they’ve stopped going quite regularly & sell their tickets which are touted to foreign fans. They got £300 for the Madrid home game. The club know what’s going on so regularly set traps yo catch the tout but no doubt their only concern is they want the 5x profit themselves.

No. We are a business intent on maximising revenues anyway.

Definitely all about maximising the bottom line whilst there is demand, personally feel nothing will come of charges as I don't see why brands like WWE, Kellogs would get into bed with City if we were guilty and will have looked at it from a financial point as it would cause reputational damages to their brands in the event we would be found guilty and relegation is not going to happen as it damages the PL brand and is weaker without City as part of it financially

Set traps? It can't be difficult. All the club need to do is buy x amount of tickets from the online touts each game, trace the origin of the tickets and ban whoever's tickets they were.

This thread is 33 pages long now??!!

Interesting read :0)

Lots of 1st World problems noted ???

But still waiting for an alternative or a solution to the problem??

Everything nowadays costs more than it used to, especially Sports Events, Music Events, etc.

Solutions??

Player salary caps?
Squad Salary cap?
Football regulator required?
Guaranteed Block of 2,000 seats for MCFC registered supporters, £40 maximum charge, for Non Season ticket holders and the 20 to 30 year olds??

If away fans can get in for £30, why can’t Home Fans get a better deal??

Finally how do you get your suggestions or ideas in front of someone at the Club who cares and can do something about it???
Mike Summerbee?
Noel or Liam Gallagher??
Paul Dickov??
Or any of the many Club ambassadors???

Discuss ???

Why buy directly from the Club for 3 times the price.

On a wider point unrelated to your post. The Face Value ticket pages were only slated on this Forum because of a few posters unhealthy obsession with away tickets. These Forums don’t even sell away tickets these days, apart from on rare occasions.

I’m aware of the point you’re making. It’s a good one.

But it doesn’t negate the ridiculousness that there’s City fans seemingly trying to buy tickets off the club for a game with thousands of unsold tickets, which kicks off in a few hours and the club are refusing to sell them.
