Priced out?

Surely the club has to find a balance between getting the support on the night that the team needs in the 1st leg, and affordable ticket prices to make that happen.

I’ll get to the point. We need a PL crowd, not a CL crowd. And we need the home ends to be totally full of ‘City fans’.
The club couldn’t care less about that. This game will sell out to non city fans and it doesn’t matter how much the tickets cost

I know. I fully agree.

But you'd hope for once the club will put the support, backing, and an intimidating atmosphere first over a few more thousand pounds. I'm sure Pep and the players want that.

We need the stadium full of genuine city fans, not CL tourists, day trippers, and football fans who support other clubs, and want to see 'Real Madrid' play City.

I'm sure Soriano, Danny Wilson & Co understand that for a 1 off home leg match that could give us an important result and lead to take to Madrid, that could make the difference over 2 legs?.

They charge £63 for Brighton in the 300 blocks, so I'm guessing about £65 for Madrid.....but there won't be any tickets available to matchday supporters at that price, however you can get a £20 buffet as well and pay £500...
Why would there be no tickets for matchday holders if £65 is the price ?

Because they will release a very limited number to matchday purchasers, there will be no meaningful loyalty or points criteria applied. About 100,000 people will be in the sales queue for the limited number of tickets, however there will be absolutely no shortage of hospitality or agency tickets available at inflated prices. We've been here before.

Here you go….

SC holders on the scheme should get a far better discounted price than we will. The club will see this as the equivalent of a QF tie i.e. fifth home game so I reckon it will be similar to the quarter final prices last year + £5

Last year against Madrid https://www.mancity.com/tickets/mens/man-city-v-real-madrid-information-2324-uefa-champions-league
Yeah, probably something along those lines which would make the cheapest adult price £43 if on the cup scheme and the most expensive £63 (not including 93:20). Add £7-£10 to those prices for those not on the cup scheme

There have been windows for those with 5 or 6 games in the last couple of seasons. I've got them before for C/L quarter and semi finals.Yes it's harder now than it has been but you said no tickets when there will be.

Ok. There will be a few, I didn't mean actually zero. Good luck in the scramble. Let's hope if they announce criteria, that the ticketing system actually allows you to buy if you meet the criteria. (I couldn't buy for united even though I had the 5 game criteria, and i know some others were affected similarly). Also the last RM game sales got down to 3 UCL attendances in the past year I think, but there were very few left and they sold out almost instantly at that level. Fingers crossed.

Should not be more than £30.

All it is, is the same round of the CL as the Leyton Orient game is in the FA Cup. It’s not a semifinal or even a quarter final. It’s still early doors in the competition.

It’s a random extra game, on top of Brugge which was also an extra game that didn’t exist compared to previous seasons, that we have to find money for.

If they charge something stupid for it, I’ll think about pulling out of the Cup Scheme. If they charge something stupid for it and we go out, I’ll think about not entering the Cup Scheme next season.

The most the prices should be are the Inter Milan prices. They were too expensive for the opening game but we are playing the biggest club in world football, this time
