Primark

It's cheap, nasty, and children are being used as slaves to create their stock. Pathetic excuse for a shop.

But surely if it weren't for child slavery, they'd have to charge more for joggy bottoms?

It's an ill wind....

Snobs.....
Don't like it don't go in.
I don't
why not good enough for ya?.....snob!!!!!!!!

I don't need to. I don't like the clothes.
but I don't look down on those that shop there.
I am sure when I was little my mum and dad would have shopped for our clothes at places like that.
I remember being dragged around Grey Mare lane market when I was a kid looking for a school jumper.
Not too good no....

Ill look down on anyone who is sub class, is dragging there kids up, swears in public for attention, wears tattoos and untasteful jewelry, and will think more about a drink of stella than a decent home cooked meal for there kids, its become unfashionable to look down at people but maybe if we got back to that way more people would be inclined to do something about there turgid little sub class lives, turn there life around and become respectable. maybe we wouldn't have so many teenage pregnancy's if we didnt have this slap dash attitude to girls getting up the stick, if it wasn't acceptable in society children wouldn't be allowed to run riot around the place, abusing people who try and stop them, abusing teachers, smoking, drinking and generally becoming replacements for the low life that unfortunately was allowed to breed and bring them into the world.

I think you are blaming Primark for a little too much there mate....
I also detest some of the traits you list but I also know what it is like to have nothing and to have parents that really care take you to cheap and nasty shops looking to provide for you.
I am sure better off people looking from the outside also roped us into the same group as others because of where we shopped, lived and what we were dressed in.

lol....good answer. dont get me wrong, we shopped cheep, we were poor, never became underclass though. Mind you, when I was a kid it was the working class that had fukc all but our parents worked (all though the devil woman tried her best to stop that) which made us respectful, now the working class do very well, everyone has warm houses, clothes on there back, phones, televisions, sky, holidays, cars. When i was little we had nothing, its the sub class that give the working class a bad name now, with there I dont care attitude and there horrid children.

Just to add to the list of why that place is hated:

People who shop there refer to it as "Primani".
one of those things that started off mildly amusing but rapidly became inane a bit like that "nice weather....for ducks" thing started off quite amusing ended up pathetic 10 years later!!!!!

it's sort of two different points you are making Brassy. I agree 100% about the low -living scum class but it wasn't Maggie that started this it was Blair and Brown with their benefits culture. as far as Primark is concerned, they actually share some suppliers with M&S and although I am sure they exploit some workers (how many employers don't!) they are ok quality and very good value for money

We have always had an underclass. When I was a kid living in a block of flats in Taunton street (torn down now and new houses on the site) we had all sorts living near us. Some really good people and some not so good. We had "tinkers" who were really travellers who had stopped travelling (I am choosing my words carefully here as I don't want to be accused of double standards) who robbed off there own and took pot shots at our windows just for fun and this was nearly 40 years ago.
I also agree with you both Thatcher created more sub class and Brown/Blair has put a couple of bob in their pockets. Don't think for a second that if there wasn't a benifit system these people would go to work because the will not (just look at the US). The subclass have always been here, have never worked and never want to work. There are now more of them and they are more extreme but that is not the responsibilty of politicians of either party. I would love to blame Thatcher for it all as you would love to blame Brown/Blair but it goes deeper and I think politicians are powerless to change it in a democratic and relatively free society.
However my original point really was not to tar everyone with the same brush.
Primark does not mean scum although I will conceed some scum shop there :-)
