Primark

it's sort of two different points you are making Brassy. I agree 100% about the low -living scum class but it wasn't Maggie that started this it was Blair and Brown with their benefits culture. as far as Primark is concerned, they actually share some suppliers with M&S and although I am sure they exploit some workers (how many employers don't!) they are ok quality and very good value for money
We have always had an underclass. When I was a kid living in a block of flats in Taunton street (torn down now and new houses on the site) we had all sorts living near us. Some really good people and some not so good. We had "tinkers" who were really travellers who had stopped travelling (I am choosing my words carefully here as I don't want to be accused of double standards) who robbed off there own and took pot shots at our windows just for fun and this was nearly 40 years ago.
I also agree with you both Thatcher created more sub class and Brown/Blair has put a couple of bob in their pockets. Don't think for a second that if there wasn't a benifit system these people would go to work because the will not (just look at the US). The subclass have always been here, have never worked and never want to work. There are now more of them and they are more extreme but that is not the responsibilty of politicians of either party. I would love to blame Thatcher for it all as you would love to blame Brown/Blair but it goes deeper and I think politicians are powerless to change it in a democratic and relatively free society.
However my original point really was not to tar everyone with the same brush.
Primark does not mean scum although I will conceed some scum shop there :-)
Damn!! nothing to disagree with there. I suppose the workshy are just more visible nowadays. makes me want to puke

Never been before, but had the pleasure of a trip there with Mrs Neck yesterday....

What a loathsome place, its full of all the people in our country I hate.

Fat 50 something sweaty grannies trying to find a top that will make them look like Holly weatherby
Tattooed loud swearing chavs trying to find something for nothing, usually with a misbehaving child in toe called Jake or Chantelle, "Tyler, get 'ere now"

What a hell hole!!!!!!!

Im sure I read somewhere that the Primark in town - at Christmas some chav mum stabbed another chav mum over a babygrow that was in the sale.

Says it all.

Yes,but in fairness it was a Prada babygrow.
And they are simply to die for,dahhling...
Not sure I would hold Primark responsible for teenage pregnancies though,Brassneck.
Unless the dirty little buggers are banging each other senseless in the changing rooms.
I did hear a lot of unexplained groaning when last there, but I assumed it was a fat lass trying on a size 8 thong.

lol....good answer. dont get me wrong, we shopped cheep, we were poor, never became underclass though. Mind you, when I was a kid it was the working class that had fukc all but our parents worked (all though the devil woman tried her best to stop that) which made us respectful, now the working class do very well, everyone has warm houses, clothes on there back, phones, televisions, sky, holidays, cars. When i was little we had nothing, its the sub class that give the working class a bad name now, with there I dont care attitude and there horrid children.

H&M staff ‘had sex in Cardiff store’
Jul 26 2009 by Andrew Dagnell, Wales On Sunday
Comments (4)Recommend (9) FASHION chain H&M has launched an investigation after allegations staff had sex in its Cardiff store.

A string of lurid claims have been made about some of the workers at the shop – based in the Capitol Shopping Centre, Queen Street – who have allegedly struck up intimate relationships on the premises.

Some shopworkers are alleged to have romped in the stock room and staff room, while customers looked through clothes just yards away, according to a source.

The clothing giant has launched an immediate investigation and said it is taking the allegations “extremely seriously”.

Details of the allegations came to light after Wales on Sunday was contacted by a source connected to the flagship store, which sells clothes for ladies, men and children.

The source claimed: “It was revealed last week that staff of the H&M Cardiff store have been actively engaging in sexual activities throughout the working day, often with customers no more than a few feet away.

“Some staff are regularly taking breaks to the staff room, toilets, stock room and even the shop floor to carry out these scandalous activities.”

They added: “H&M customers would be very interested in this information... they’ll have a good idea about exactly what’s going behind that door marked Staff Only.”

We passed the details onto the store’s headquarters in London, who swiftly launched a full-scale investigation.

Last night a spokeswoman told Wales on Sunday: “H&M is investigating these unacceptable allegations regarding our Cardiff store.

“No H&M employees in the Cardiff store have been dismissed, however we take all allegations extremely seriously.”

H&M opened its first UK store in 1976 and has now grown to 148 shops.

The chain is famous for its celebrity designers such as Madonna, as well as its high-end lines by fashionista Roberto Cavalli and shoe designer Jimmy Choo.

The Cardiff store is one of three in Wales – the others are in Wrexham and Newport.

The high-street giant will open another branch later this year in Cardiff’s new St David’s 2 development in the heart of the city.
