2000 a month?not 2000 a day.
65 a day, you say?
Oh fuck! How could UK Border Force deal with such a coachload of humanity?

I imagine international law / geneva convention have something to say re the definition and rights of an asylum seeker. It's all bollocks, as is the idea that we have enough prison space.Um, so if a boat stops to pick people up from a sinking asylumseeker boat, and the asylum seeker says "asylum" loudly, the rescuers are potentially breaking the law?
I know common sense ought to apply, but I hope there's some other clause somewhere.

Never voted Tory in my life, but you’re on a roll.

The UK takes in around 35,000 refugees per year.
Germany takes in around a million a year.
France takes in around 350k a year.
Turkey has around 3 million refugees currently.
Around 80% of refugees stay in the country they first enter.
All this hyperventilating over the paltry numbers that come to the UK or indeed try and make it across the Channel is deranged.
Again... breaks a UN Convention ... ''The laws of the Sea''
So I'll say it again..... if you actually want to change the law you have to lobby and legislate for change. Don't see the Tories queuing up at the UN to do that do you?
Instead they turn out Patel to wind you lot up.
