I can never get my head round a “ private plate “ when someone wants to put their name/ initial and age on them.

Once bought a car to get me through a couple of months for £500. It had an Irish plate on it "BIG 9420" but when printed on a plate, one of my mates pointed out that it looked like "BIG GAZO".

Cost me £100 to keep the plate on certificate and get the replacement plates made up for the car I was selling when I was done with it, got my £500 back on the car and ended up selling the "BIG GAZO" for £750.

Happy days.
