Prorogation - Judgment Day:10.30am Tuesday 24/9/19

Did you not see the link I posted above?
I’ve moved on now to wondering who invented the cone? because without that person we wouldn’t be able to enjoy ice cream (the hard and the soft stuff) the way we like - that’s the hidden hero in this story for me.
I’ve also been thinking should we move on to calling it They Whippy?
The cone?
That was Boris. Inspired by one of the hats they used make him wear whilst standing facing the corner in Eton.

A member of the public is giving her death threats on a daily basis and tried to break into her office, specifically quoting the Prime Minister.

In 2016 a Labour MP was murdered by a right wing nut job for “betraying” her country.

Johnson is now using that rhetoric in the House to attack the opposition for stopping him breaking the law.

He’s not a conservative mate and you’d be better judged fucking the **** off.

He’s a fucking fascist.

You have been radicalised as rascal would say. Check out her history. It’s ok to call him a fucking fascist but he can’t say surrender. Oh the irony! Check out her twitter history. Potty mouth and full of hate I tell you!!

And people are defending him.

If the Yorkshire Ripper wore a Tory rosette they would defend him.

I have tried warning people about fascism, but a number of people are not bothered as long as Brexit happens. I thought taking back control was a noble cause, not a fascist clarion call. Johnsons language is Trumpian, it is disgusting and I always thought that we as a nation were better than that. When female MPs are getting death threats, are routinely abused and called traitors it is up to the PM to call for it to stop, not to further inflame an already damaging public discourse with yet further inflammatory rhetoric and shameful dismissal of female MPs fears as being humbug.

We live in very dangerous times, Johnson has emboldened the far right with his actions and behind that buffoon act lies a man who is dangerous.

I fear for our country, I fear a dictatorship, I fear mass disturbances and I fear for each and every one of us.

Are you for real. Have your heard the language of McDonnell? He can’t speak with out saying Tory twats. He spoke of lynching Esther Mcvay.

Corbyn once wrote an article that said what do you call 4 dead tories? A start.

The rabid women with the rabbit teeth is worse than both of them. Phillips? She is hateful.

You are a bunch of pathetic babies.

The vast majority on the right have had mud slung at them for years by the rabid left and remained dignified. They are getting abuse from the public for the simple reason they are not pushing through a democratic vote and blocking an election. No wonder people are frustrated. That’s what I call a facist dictatorship. To bring joe cox into it the other night was poor and cheap point scoring.

Do you not think boris gets abuse daily?

Big socialist babies who want everything for free and live in cloud cuckoo land and think they know better than 17.4 million people. A bloody disgrace.

It’s a bit like me deciding to move house but a load of travellers camping on my front drive and when I ask them to move nicely at first they say no.

Then when I tell them to pissoff they start crying.

Good morning rascal by the way.

Johnson is about having power, now this is not uncommon for the torys, as being in power is their main goal, however with johnson he just wants the power without the responaibility and used popularism to get it and thinks popularist rhetoric will keep him there.

I swear if suddenly 70% of the whole nation said they wanted to remain his brexit stance ould alter to suit his political needs.

If that leads to division and that can be used to exact his power he doesn't care.

He has an air of Richard II about him, close knit circle cronyism and lack of respect for the country, court or law.

The thing is we have to respect the referendum result.
I voted remain but I believe we need to get out now by hook or by crook.

I cannot see anyone better equipped to close that deal.
Don’t overthink it , just do it.

Capatlism can stink.

I don't disagree, I would have voted leave if Labour where in power (lexit) and I think the only way to leave is no deal.

Johnson however is a **** and I would rather sock Stuart Pearson's cock than support him

Good morning rascal by the way.

Difficult to argue with any of that.

The double standards currently on show is in no way surprising.

I don't like Phillips, I find her a gobby twat and annoying as hell.

I stil don't think she deserves the abise she gets, heavy criticism yes.

But then I have noticed and this is on both sides btw, in the last few years what constitutes empasaioned criticism and what is abuse has been muddied.

Calling a politician a wanker or scum or such used to be par or the course and not an eylid was bat

Throwing flour or eggs or any physical attack, bang out of order and stupid behaviour police caution at least

Threatening to rape or kill someone get the **** who did it arrested.

This is all now classed as abusive and so some find it easy to equate someone bieng called a twat as equally as bad as a death threat to justify their point

Also vitriolic language was always found on the extreme or fringes of both left and right with the odd hard line tory/labour MP occassionally guilty for stepping over the line, it was never being used by a sitting PM and his cabinet, atyorny general and advisors.

We are in a dangerous place atm with the highest office bar the monarch treatingit the same as if he was in a westmister bar after session.

The poor use of language is mirrored in the poor taste of reference, something which both sides of the House are guilty of employing.

As well as the words surrender act, which was deliberately used in Johnson's prepared speech and then dripped in throughout the exchange, we also had /sabotage/took the shilling of the Mullahs/Free the Isington One/time is marching/betrayal/treason/traitor/capitulation. Further, we were treated to reference to Nelson and Trafalgar in the same session and had Labour branded as Communists. Reference to war, be it conventional/Cold/terrorism, as part of the British lexicon is common, but today's parliamentarians have generally only read about war or seen sanitised pictures of it. Had they directly experienced or seen its horror, they would likely be more judicious in their use of language.

Language is a problem in the House, but the debate is also shaped by who speaks. In that respect, Bercow also has to be more thoughtful about who he selects to ask questions and when; he knows them all and knows their style, tone, and boiling points. As the tensions rose in the House on Wednesday night, for some reason he seemed to choose a succession of women from the Opposition benches. Now, if you watch carefully, you'll see that Johnson has a habit of being rather cowed by those female MPs who chastise him but do so in a calm but serious tone- probably a throwback to childhood and Nanny telling him off- but when it is a woman who starts calmly but then becomes shrill, he seems to see that as a bit of 'sport', he thinks he's winning, and he will have his fun. Not suggesting MPs be 'gagged' or excusing Johnson, just pointing out an effect of how the debate is managed from the chair.
