Sorry to hear this. I guess you have to trust the doctors - if they think that the treatment will make you worse, given your other conditions, then not having the hormone therapy/radiotherapy is probably the right decision.
Take care of yourself.
Best wushes with everything. Can tell you absolutely love City.I`ve thought long and hard before deciding to post this.
I went to the Churchill Unit at Bolton Royal to find out my results after the MRI and CT scans which followed on from the Prostate Biopsy. My bone scan was clear but as well as finding 8 out of 24 biopsies positive for Cancer I had a lesson on one of my kidneys and something on my lung.
The doctor told me that because of all my ongoing medical problems she feel if I had radiotherapy or hormone therapy I would either not survive the operation or would in fact make my quality of life worse than it is now.
I have a chesty cold at the moment which is getting on my nerves but I have no pain apart from the pain City are causing us all.
I also have a long list of stuff going on besides, so this is just a warning to get checked out as early as you can, especially for the over 50`s. I wish you all the best of luck and ffs come on City.

Sending my very best wishes to you. Its an absolute sod. My hub was diagnosed last, so far been fortunate.Thank you and Yep dont we all. They have given us so much joy and so much misery.
Hope you can get some quality of life, you're a top poster on here, it brings a perspective to our own life's especially us FOC's, you're so right about getting checked, some people just think they are invincible, 1 in 8 males are at risk. I know a good few lads who have had and are going through PC, it's bloody awful. I know you are a decent golfer, one of my good friends is the Captain at Ashton GC this next 12 months, his Charity is Prostate UK, his best pal went through surgery a couple of years ago and was in touch with Gary aka A57 and kind of mentored and helped him. Gary had given loads of brilliant advice on here.I`ve thought long and hard before deciding to post this.

Without stating the bloody obvious but BM is always here for support as you clearly know. I found it the biggest help more than I could ever have imagined.I`ve thought long and hard before deciding to post this.

Glad you're ok mate, I don't know if you remember Paul Rodgers (was on the bus away at Forest wearing an Hawaiian vest, every time he stood up all the lads sang the Hawaii 50 theme tune), he was diagnosed with incurable PC in Feb 2015, it had already spread to his pelvis, he's still with us, at the match yesterday and we're on a Christmas bash at Uttoxeter races this Friday. Same diagnosis as Chris Hoy, there's hope out there, just got to believe.Without stating the bloody obvious but BM is always here for support as you clearly know. Thankfully I finally got informed I was ok
Keep strong and more importantly don’t let little things like the form of a fucking football team get you down
