Best football team in the world? At the moment we’re not even the 4th best football team in the country. In any case, even if we were it’s irrelevant. Fans don’t suddenly get more money in their pockets the better we get.

As for concert prices, I wish people would stop using this stupid analogy. Many football fans attend 20,30,40, or more matches a season. Most concert goers don’t attend anything like as many gigs. And I should know as I attend both football matches and gigs.

All you ever do is stink these threads out with your shitty takes and blatant trolling. Your constant rimming of the club on issues that are deeply unpopular with fans is nothing short of an embarrassment. In any case, aren’t you the one who said kids match day ticket prices need to be addressed? In which case, instead of defending the £71 adult ticket price for Villa have a look at what the club are charging kids for that same game and if you think that’s ok then I suggest you really do need the bumps feeling on your head.

They don't want loyal fans who have had season tickets for 20+ years they want new younger fans with more money in their pockets!

Does that having to go to 16/19 even if you put the ticket on Man City resale site? Or in effect can you put 10 on Man City resale site and it's ok?

The 16/19 thing is that you have to either attend a game, place your seat on the exchange or transfer to friends and family (which the club have put tighter restrictions on in order to force more people to buy memberships).

However you do have to attend 10 of those 16 times in person, which is a dramatic change in the club’s policy and will make things extremely difficult for people who eg. share season tickets with more than one other person. There are suggestions on here that that 10/19 attendance will be enforced with facial recognition technology, which would be dystopian even by the recent standards of the club, though i have no idea how true that is (one poster suggested that United already do it)

I don't think they clarified how many seasoncards are to be released. The North Stand is opening next season, and I can't see why City can't release a significant number of new seasoncards. There are load of fans who don't go to many games because they can't afford match-day prices. I would support protests on that because I know fans who effectively can't go to City because they are waiting for seasoncards. My brother cancelled his season ticket when he had a young family after following City through all the bad times. He and his children are City fans but have been to a handful of games since. There must be loads of fans and families like that who can't afford match-day prices.

I personally think the 10 game rule is harsh. It doesn’t take into account personal circumstances such as illness, childcare, working arrangements etc. I’m all for encouraging ticket transfers/ticket exchange to ensure the seat is used and not left empty but the club have gone a step too far on this one for me.

It should be a policy that seasoncard holders go to at least 10 games. If we were a fan owned club, we'd enforce just such a ruling and deal with exceptions on a sympathetic basis.

The last protest had a confusing message. Most fans were protesting about ticket prices but the press statements were on viagogo. The current issue should be match-day pricing and seasoncard availability. The latter is uncertain. I would have thought that the club has an opportunity to release a large number of seasoncards. Reading that announcement makes me wonder whether they have in mind a trivial release because it seemed like the perfect moment to make an announcement on the new stand.

What if I couldn’t get to a game, transferred it to my brother to attend but then he had a work emergency and couldn’t attend? Is that a game my ticket hasn’t been used or has my responsibility been relinquished once I’ve transferred it?

As someone that wants more season tickets, and has done for years I dont want supporters to have to justify themselves every season. And when we've got a big fuck off new stand about to open, we could solve those problems in a second without making genuine City supporters the enemy.

Well looks like it's shit or get off the pot for my boy, he's passed his ticket on every game this year due to work (armed forces), very young baby & living 4+ hours away. The seat has never been empty, 2 people mainly but 5 different blues have had the benefit of the seat all at cost price obviously no matter who we were playing.

Even if he'd used the card himself as normal he'd be fucked most years with work both shifts and having to put time in abroad.

Most be thousands who genuinely will be shafted by these rules.

Count me in for the 6 minutes against Wolves.

And then when the game comes there are a thousand no shows. It's too late then. Season ticket availability is what matters most to me.

Lad who sits next to me had a career change a while back and due to shift patterns was missing more than half the games but the seat was always transferred and occupied at every game. He is now back to attending every game but for the couple of years when he wasn’t he would lose his ST under the new rules.

I agree with that. Some people are just arguing their own little corner without seeing the picture from all fans perspective. I think there's a lot of suspicion now about the club's ticketing.

I was disappointed that there was no announcement on seasoncard number and I hope that that is what fan organisations press the club on. And match-day prices too.

I just want supporters to not be treated as an inconvenience by the club. I would hope they could do this and still manage tickets to a Madrid semi final.
