My wife can't do midweek games (up at 5am for work) - even 7pm Sunday is a struggle for her
We have more than 3 F&F, but not always the case that anyone wants a particular game
Why? I've sold tickets to mates of mates/ST

Wherever possible, I try to sell to Blues in WhatsApp group, supporters club, but sometimes it's not possible. There is no need at all to restrict transfers to 3 specific people if the club just wants bums on seats

It probably won't impact me too much but I'm sure a few will get caught out with this

The 78 year old responsible for me becoming a Blue is seriously contemplating jacking it in after this season because the club are attaching more and more conditions to ST holders.
If the aim was to get bums on seats, I could understand to a degree. But it's not, it's all about getting the ticket back so they can sell at exorbitant prices or package the seat up with a corporate offering.

You can transfer to as many F&F you want but only 3 can have an unpaid membership the rest will have to have paid the £35 membership

I'm not sure that groups such as Spirit of Shankly are the people on Twitter who highlight empty seats. I'm certain that supporters groups at other clubs will be in agreement with our protest but it'd make no difference whatsoever to social media. Are you suggesting that 1894 contact 19 other supporter groups during the 6 minute protest?

This is where all this problem started. When the club kept giving out the cheap season tickets value gold. People would buy them go to the top 6 games and not bother with the lesser games hence we got the empty seats jibes and now the club think we have to many season cards so they are trying to get them back any way they can

What if you're abroad studying or working?

Should you have to give up a season ticket you've had for years knowing you've got next to no chance of getting it back anywhere next to the family and friends you've always sat with?

Its a season ticket not a ticket or seat for life, or a family heirloom. How many years should they keep the seat for somebody ? I fully agree there should be more season tickets and probably more readily available, and support the protests for that, so anyone giving up their season ticket can in the future come back, I support protests about match day pricing . But protests against the season ticket rules, not for me.

There's some truth in this. You have to have a season ticket to attend the big games but all the games are on telly and kick off times all over the place so most season ticket holders miss games. Some miss a lot. The Seat Exchange thing mitigates this in theory but at the current prices the lesser games end up with some not reselling.

We are in touch with near enough every group in the PL. We received quite a lot of kudos from the other groups, especially following on from the 9 minute protest.

There's a big whatsapp group organised by the FSA with various groups who offer advice and support to other groups.

We have worked on national campaigns like 'Stop Exploiting Loyalty' this season. There's different issues at every club so different types of responses are required on a case by case basis, but we're open to working with anyone who shares the same general goals as us.

Simple really. The inability to to get ten games may be temporary and you don’t want to lose your season ticket forever which would probably be the case.

Then there’s arithmetic. If you have a season card and only go to nine games your net spend would be approx £414 (19 x £46 = £874 less 10 x 46 credits for tickets sold back through ticket exchange) If you bought those 9 tickets as a Cityen member @ £71 each you’d spend £639

You've paid your money and you take your chances
Unfortunately for you and lots of others a st is no longer about most games being 4pm Saturday and the odd midweek ko. That's not the clubs fault.
The club will have trouble policing the matchday if anyone can just use your ticket. Could go to opposition fan. Or you could sell it some twat who misbehaves, gets chucked out and then your ticket gets banned.

I probably haven't made myself clear. My wife's ticket never goes to a non-Blue, apart from a work colleague if I can't get rid. And I am always in the next seat, so I'd be able to have a quiet word if anybody was being a dick

Realistically though, if fans have spent their money for their seat, it shouldn't be the club's concern either way. The seat is paid for. In the dark days, when the club needed us most, we turned up. That loyalty should be rewarded rather than hounded.

It's not about giving other City fans a chance to get a season card either. If City wanted to offer more season cards, they could add 8k next year.

It's all driven by their absurd goal of matching United/Liverpool's match day revenue (at any cost) despite having an entirely different fanbase to work with. They would rather see empty seats (like against Villa) as long as the revenue is higher.

City can have either of the following options:

- a higher match day revenue
- an incredibly loyal, supportive fanbase that create a brilliant atmosphere

They cannot have both. Loyalty is a two-way street and when times aren't as good (maybe when Pep has left), their actions today will be remembered.

Yet, the same club will sell tickets to any Tom, Dick and Harry who has the money to pay the absurd prices on Viagogo (and the 8 other touting sites).

Either they're concerned about fan safety (and should limit seasoncard transfers AS WELL AS removing all 9 reseller sites) or they don't, and they are huge hypocrites.

They've smelt an opportunity to get rid of a few 'low revenue' seasoncard holders and used a completely hollow guise of fan safety/better atmosphere (which is laughable when you look at the match day ticket prices).

Club will have name, address and card details through partners. Not so if holder sells on to any yom dick harry

If that's the sort of club we want to be, that's fine. Long term, loyal supporters will move on and let newer supporters take over.

Just hope the club never expect those long term supporters to return of and when it all goes tits up.

And I hope no-one complains about the newer, half and half scarf wearing, one match a year visit the club shop tourist.

It's what people want apparently.
