Protest v Wolves

If you buy a season ticket the club shouldn't dictate to you how many games you go to.
My dad's had a ticket for as long as I've been alive.
Since we lost my mum..8 years ago he goes on holiday a lot with his mates.
He doesn't do internet etc.
So if he's away I put his ticket on the exchange for him.
When I told him about this rule he said if they send me an email saying that they can stick the ticket up there arse.
I didn't tell him they have emailed to tell him that but his email comes to me
Mind you in January I listed his ticket for the Chelsea game .and they sold it to a Chelsea fan..who paid 200 quid..that's what the club wants . unfortunately

I would have thought it more likely that whoever bought it off City, resold it to a Chelsea fan. But who knows?

Well if you believe the statement, just the threat of it has helped increase attendance since they introduced the 14 game policy.

I’m sure there must be plenty who’ve fallen foul of it but I’ve not heard of a single person, either in real life or on here, who’ve had a renewal refused.

I’m not saying it won’t happen in the future but I’m cautiously confident that the club will take into account people’s personal circumstances before they steam in.

Due to the increased demand for tickets, the club brought in a policy last season that meant supporters had to use their season ticket for 17 out of 22 matches.

If they could not attend themselves, fans were advised to make their season ticket available on Arsenal’s Ticket Exchange or Ticket Transfer platforms to ensure it was used.

The club have now confirmed that 24 season tickets were cancelled as those supporters did not meet the required usage.

The above example is clearly Arsenal and from last summer but all the PL clubs are thick as thieves on issues like this.

And I'd expect it would be more problematic in banning people in the first season of such a policy and consequently the number of people banned would be likely to increase season on season.

What the club are doing with season tickets members is a disgrace, having to go to 16/19 games with tv games changes people being ill people going away and don't we have one of the oldest season ticket holders in the league meaning more will on average can't make games because illness and such! You can see what the club trying to do reduce season tickets members to a 1/3 at least!

have any of the city matters reps made a comment anywhere yet. They were all over social media when the price freeze was announced

Am I been thick then.
But are they saying a normal season ticket holder has to attend or put the ticket on the exchange thing for 16 games now?..I don't get what a 9320 ticket is ?
9320 are £1,500 season cards in good seats in East and Colin Bell Level 2 with restricted bars and free programmes.

Does that having to go to 16/19 even if you put the ticket on Man City resale site? Or in effect can you put 10 on Man City resale site and it's ok?

Not from what I’ve seen. Some of the City Matters Reps on here will be shocked by how few games season card holders go to going off posts in recent weeks.

FWIW, I think the City Matters Reps have made good progress and there is more to do. For example, tackling the flexi-good set up fees and the likely spread of vianogo if we don’t sell out a 60k plus stadium.

It’s 10 games isn’t it?

£71 to watch the best football team in the world wether its City, Real Madrid, Barca is cheap
Have you seen concert prices, the theatre?
Best football team in the world? At the moment we’re not even the 4th best football team in the country. In any case, even if we were it’s irrelevant. Fans don’t suddenly get more money in their pockets the better we get.

As for concert prices, I wish people would stop using this stupid analogy. Many football fans attend 20,30,40, or more matches a season. Most concert goers don’t attend anything like as many gigs. And I should know as I attend both football matches and gigs.

All you ever do is stink these threads out with your shitty takes and blatant trolling. Your constant rimming of the club on issues that are deeply unpopular with fans is nothing short of an embarrassment. In any case, aren’t you the one who said kids match day ticket prices need to be addressed? In which case, instead of defending the £71 adult ticket price for Villa have a look at what the club are charging kids for that same game and if you think that’s ok then I suggest you really do need the bumps feeling on your head.

In my block 121, from my row and down about 7 more rows that are visible the same season card holders are at every game, maybe the odd game somene is not there but I would.say 99% are present all 19 games.

I have missed 2 games this season due to family reasons and put the tickets on the exchange, the first home games I have missed for 8 years.

I only.know one blue who hasn't made every game, mainly due.to living in London and getting on a train on a matchday only to find it cancelled along with the next few.

i think the SC holder don't attend line is a cop out and easy go to comment, because from where I stand (in the ground) they all do

So the “integrity of the points system” may have taken another setback with some fans achieving full ticket points each system despite going to a minority of home games.

I’m in the live and let live camp and always thought “the integrity of the points system” was bollox anyway. If, as they call them in Italy occasionalies, use their initiative to get away tickets on the back of a minority of home game showings each season, so be it.

With the flexi gold set up fee of £150. Am I wrong in thinking here that, that £150 is discounted off the cost of tickets and if a supporter goes to all 19 games the total cost including the £150 will be the price of the season ticket for that game

Most gig goers who do it 10-15 times a year as also starting to complain about the ridiculously high prices for said gigs.

so using concert prices as an arguement is daft as music fans think they are overpriced and not reasonable and would support City fans stance on £71 tickets being too much

No mate. The £150’is on top of the equivalent gold season card price for that seat. It shouldn’t be an annual fee and I’m not sure I even agree with it if it were a one off payment.

Ah fair enough a friend of mine has one and he has me believing that his match day tickets discount worked out the same as a season ticket for that seat.

I think they are very good value for junior f-gs / families that allow youngsters to get very cheap ticket prices. City also do the donkey work of finding families seats together.
