Protest v Wolves

Does anyone know best place to park for the Wolves game? I’m a Wolves fan attending your ground for the first time. I’m trying to please the mrs shopping and drinks and go in town beforehand lol, is there anywhere I can park near the arndale etc in the city centre I can return too after the match 10pm onwards? Thanks in advance
Ashton Park n' ride car park, then catch the tram and get off at Velopark and walk down the road yo Wolves section. On return journey turn right and walk past main stand and walk to Etihad stop behind our north stand. Don't forget to scan your card at beginning and end of each journey.

Is there anywhere in the town I can park? Not too fussed on price but would like to have the day in the town

I'm guessing you've not been married long otherwise you'd know that's nigh on impossible.

Yeah, lots of car parks but I very rarely drive into town so I'm not familiar where they are. Google Manchester City centre car parks.
Okay thanks I have seen the arndale is 24 hours so might just do that, either walk back after the game or is it worth waiting and getting the tram back?

New Bailey NCP car park on Irwell Street, only five minutes from Spinningfelds, keeps you away from all the traffic on Deansgate and can get a quick exit out of town when your done.

You're welcome.

Probably best walking back on the canal if weather is decent and you're up for it. Otherwise you'll wait a while for a tram unless you leave before the end. Trams get jammed solid back into town though.

Wembley yesterday. The young lad without a top on, wearing a hat, with his dad beside him doing the Poznan, front row.

The youngsters are what the directors must start prioritising again. They are our future support, as our current majority core support get's older and older.(me included)

What sort of time are you thinking of getting to Manchester?

We're matchday members who travel from Kidderminster and usually book parking at the Etihad, arrive early and use the tram to go into the City centre. Not sure away fans can do this but the city centre is a bit crap for driving and parking (a bit like the peoples republic of Wolverhampton in fact), whilst the trams are easy and cheap. I think there a few smaller car parks between the Etihad and the town so that might be an option. Be ready for a shit show when leaving after the game - we've had a few long delays.

Never been a more important time to set up our own Supporters Trust....

....and another thing I didn't think about till last Tuesday's game...I have sat next to the same guy from my Maine Road days (we were moved over to CBL3 together). He is an observant orthodox Jew and is unable to attend games on Saturday and on the occasional fixture that might fall on one of the many Jewish holidays. So far, for more than 30 years, it's all worked out perfectly - me giving him my seat when I can't make it (as a London-based Blue) and him giving me his seat to bring a friend/family for games he can not attend for religious reasons.

He is now terrified, after 30 years, of losing his season ticket simply because he is an orthodox Jew. His seat is always full - by me - or on the exchange. Now, he is at a total loss about what to do. It might also be true of our Muslim fans, I assume, possibly over Ramadan?

I know we have a lot of Jewish fans - Manchester is the second biggest Jewish community in the UK, and the majority have the good sense to follow City. It seems not just unfair - but a poissible breach of the 2010 Equality Act?
Is he going to Wolves then ? :)

Very true mate. Both our Directors and those fans currently hoarding season cards could do a lot to help tackle this issue.

Hopefully City Matters fans reps will succeed in their negotiations to slash the flexi-gold set up fees and increase the number of full season cards, with Blues who get behind the lads on a regular basis.
