Are they supporting this one, they seem to have gone quiet since the first one, or do they think they are getting somewhere?

I agree with you, Tim. And I wasn’t suggesting any of the parties concerned aren’t entitled to voice their opinions.

I was just (clumsily) trying to make the point that at this critical stage it might have been better for the OSC to voice their concerns behind closed doors, so it at least looks like everyone’s singing from the same hymn sheet.

Agreed. There is space for both groups to apply pressure.The OSC only represents a small fraction of our fanbase. It’s a mistake to criticise the 1894 group in public. Surely everyone supports lower prices for younger fans to protect our future fanbase.

you’re allowed to disagree with the statement. For me a professional organisation shouldn’t be doing it publicly/ online a few days before a protest. Whilst at the same time barely commenting on any of the other main issues

What are they gaining from it? We’re all on the same side

Some progress is being made through the collective efforts of fans / fans groups / City Matters etc. This includes the freeze on season card prices and someone told me that flexi-golds can now transfer a few tickets per season. There’s a lot more to be achieved including on match day tickets and the flexi-gold set up fees.

Where I can see OSC’s rationale to an extent is that the people on here pushing for the protests to further and faster mostly don’t go to the first game / protest. Also, we don’t know what could get agreed at the next City Matters meeting.

The odd thing has got worse though including the OSC allocation for the semi final and the 10 game rule is better or worse depending on your situation and how you see it.

What's the point in the OSC relying on a meeting after the ticket information for next season has already been announced.
The chance of city changing pricing or making any changes to the details already released are as close to zero as you could get.

It isn't about next seasons SC prices is it? they've already been frozen. It's all the other stuff now that isn't decided.

How do you know that? I think there’s actually quite a lot of people on here who attended the Leicester protest. I also think you don’t need to attend games to be upset about pricing or want something to change. A lot of the people who didn’t attend have been priced out. Should we not be listening to them? Isn’t that a big part of what this is about.

Secondly why wait until the meeting to do anything. We’ve done that previously and it’s achieved nothing. I’d argue the only reason there was a price freeze was because of fan pressure from months earlier and the protest - because they couldn’t ignore it.

If you truly think the 9 minute protest didn't have any influence on the seasoncard prices being frozen, you need to give your head a wobble mate.

I’m going off the comments on here in the days straight after the first protest where many of the most vociferous critics of the Club said they couldn’t make it. Of course everyone is entitled to their view. It included season card holders.

Reading between the lines, I reckon more progress has been pitch rolled for the next meeting and the OSC might be worried that this particular protest might unravel what’s been agreed in principle. We don’t know but it seems strange the OSC would comment like this without what they think is a good reason.

The club don't really speak to us anymore as just fans that aren't part of OSC's etc

The days when they attended supporters clubs meetings with Q and A's long gone. When they abandoned supporters clubs and started charging that was me done with doing Q and A sessions.

I resigned from the OSC when I realised they just appear to be there for the people who want travel to the home and away games and aren't really interested in anything else. Rarely a meeting unless they have ad hoc ones when they were gathering for the match day coach. What good is that for those who don't/can't travel on their coach?

should be we are in meetings surely?

1894 group have just aged! The only one on CM I am aware has done much is Alex. The others in CM may be doing things I don’t see or hear

The club don't give a fuck mate and only visible protests will work....just my opinion.
