Not sure about numbers around ground overall but there seemed to be even more if anything (and louder) on the concourse in south stand level 1 for the 6 minutes than for the 9 last time at Leicester game.I took part, but the numbers on the concourse around me were much less than at the previous (Leicester) one. Did voice some concerns about this particular protest when asked about this by one of the organisers in advance (fully agreed with sentiment, but felt messaging was a bit confused).
No idea if this has been flagged previously, but my missus said it would be miles more effective if everyone took their seats, then walked out at a set time. Might be a more powerful statement?
Because I was talking about yesterday's protest, not the issues in general which I acknowledged in my post. Yesterday was supposed to be about one issue, which the club addressed. You choose paragraph 4 and 5. Ignored paragraph 2 for some reason.
Kevin Parker has been there all the way through when it was revealed on this very platform he didn’t even win the vote to get elected.Something on the 10th minute for the 10 game policy has to be next
That issue should be the one where CM reps are collectively boycotting. It affects women (SC rep), people with disabilities (DSA rep) and families (Family rep) disproportionately so if those three can't get on board with that, they need to resign CM
Fuck Kev, if that's true about OSC bypassing CM ticketing sub group then he cannot be on CM anymore, it was always a conflict but that just shows it and furthermore, shows the motives behind the tweet the other day

I heard filtered down from others that when Alex from Citymattters was on strike then Kevin interviewed all the newbies applying for citymatters.
This means that the new ones won’t go against Kevin if he wants to block stuff.
Which means Citymatters goes back to being less effective.
I know for a fact when the images of Barcelona fans in the away end came to light some groups wanted to do a joint statement on it. Someone in Citymatters put massive pressure on people to make sure they didn’t call it out.
Can you guess who it is yet ?
Got some funny looks when I started the 'Swales Out' chants though.Well done PB !! saw you join in too
God help the City fans if Coward Hohen … sorry Howard Cohen becomes next head of citymatters. Credibility in the bin and now more concerned with brown nosing the club even though they shat on him over the chargesMan is a disgrace

1000% this.
Imagine any other business where they sell you a product and then they demand you use it or they take it away from you?
It's madness mate.
Thanks mateTim I did DM you from the 1894 twitter account couple of weeks ago saying we were going on podcasts talking about flexi gold and did you want to put your side across to a wider audience- the show had 3 flexi gold people on it. We surveyed fans and 131 FG members replied and said they should have a choice of FG or ST - not with a 16 game criteria to upgrade but that they should be able to get one without having to “prove their worth” as a City fan first, you yourself have loads of FG members in your branch, we are fighting they have the right to be full season card holders. It’s not good enough in the eyes of fans to just have a pathway to a season card - a difficult pathway jumping through various hoops and remembering to buy on time etc - the citymatters statement was liked on twitter by the club with a blue heart. For fans who want more they will see that the club is then trying to use citymatters for PR. I know the guys have worked hard they have had practice sessions and talked about what to say. But we pre-date citymatters by many years we pass on advice every day to many of them and have done for years and we say don’t be too close to the club, don’t accept the tunnel club tickets, don’t agree to joint statements all the time, but some distance between yourselves and the club so that you are able to go further.
Club’s behaviour towards citymatters has been coercive, they ignored the chair’s comments on modernisation and changing the governance of it, they ignored them on prices, on the actual way FG should be rolled out for example, they did what they want, all of a sudden citymatters is then at the request of some of their members, back by outside forces like ourselves- we start doing more joint statements, the bottom line is the club sees citymatters as it’s toy to get whatever it wants through, however doesn’t like to see fans giving their voice independently outside that bubble and not having to work under the constraints of how citymatters reps work with the club.
So what we have started seeing and what we will see moving forward is the club trying to play a PR game , giving some concessions to CM as they go along but still try and maintain a stranglehold over it. They would rather amplify citymatters voice and show the public “it is working” rather than feel they have to show they are giving in to “mob rule”.
The 3 protest groups plus solid citizens who signed the letter to pep this week know full well how it works politically at City, that City will give their announcements to CM reps first, which is why the date of the concourse protest was chosen for Wolves because it weaponised the citymatters meeting of 1st may ie here is a chance for the club to bring in season cards, reduce prices, change the reseller agreements, amend the attendance criteria but none of this happened, so of course the protest went ahead and was well supported. 7000 instead of 10000 but the first one was practically the biggest anywhere inside a stadium in the prem since the kop walk out. It’s still huge numbers. It’s like saying K2 isn’t as big as Everest.
The same now applies to the citymatters meeting on 12th June we would expect club to give some more concessions- they know the citymatters reps are supported by the fans outside the room.
Some of the citymatters reps might not appreciate that even now and might feel it’s taking some of the limelight away from them, if so that’s their issue. They have to see the strength of feeling from fans. Last season the season card rep didn’t read the room and didn’t understand the criticism when she didn’t sign the letter most of the others did. This year she has been working through the mails from fans and passing them all onto the club and we did thank her for her work - maybe that stuck in her throat slightly- but we are here to pass on feedback from fans and the issue was she was the season card rep and it was her area.
The ticketing sub group was bypassed in citymatters when the OSC were doing their own private negotiations with the club on securing more flexi gold for their members.
That undermines the whole point of citymatters. All the club have tried to do is try and stop protests happening and they have failed miserably.
Because they haven’t listened.
Flexi Gold isn’t the answer to getting rid of empty seats. The pricing and the way tickets are allocated is.

What is it then?No they haven't, FG is not a season ticket
Not sure about pressure on people to say this or that on FG, the pressure on the club is coming fans themselves, 128 of 131 FG members that responded to the survey said they want the choice of FG or ST. Club is putting restrictions on that and dressing it up as a pathway. That’s as unfair as demonising season ticket holders. If they want full seats let ST holders transfer to more people for face value, less people use the exchange because tickets go on live football dot com and a non City fan is there - or a blue is charged £61 to £88 and fellow blues don’t want to justify the club’s prices. Thanks mate
Yes you did invite me but really I’d prefer have season card holders turning up on a regular basis than value golds. I just think flexi-golds are OK compared with season card holders turning up infrequently (though everyone has their own committments / priorities). I wouldn’t be the ideal advocate for flexi-golds. I just don’t like the pressure people have been put under on here to say they are crap (not by you). Sorry for not getting back to you. I’ve been hectic with work and sorting Cup Final tickets. Maybe I can come on another time on another topic.
Regarding your survey results, I don’t see f-gs as the answer to having crowds of Blues in singing sections regularly belting out our chants. I think they are part of the solution to getting more families in the ground because eg there’s no obligation to go on midweek / school nights and City do go to the trouble of matching parents with adjacent kids tickets. City could do more of that with full season cards too.
I will give City Matters credit for negotiating the improvements to f-gs and the protest groups,
Including good work by 1894 on bringing pressure on the club. I’ve participated in both main protests. I did think the tweet from the OSC to 1894 the other day about the negotiations / protests was a bit stage managed to get ticket deals over the line.
Kevin Parker meets City Directors fairly often so if he’s mentioned the set up fees are crap and need to go, more power to his elbow. I really wouldn’t make a massive deal out of this. KP has helped to achieve improvements for fans but there is a long way to go, particularly on match day ticket prices. So have the range of fans groups.
I see there are posters queuing up to allege KP was Bin Laden’s right hand man. I’m hungover but I’m having a good laugh at some of the posts. People say KP is an operator and I hardly know him. I suggest “operators” are need at times like these.
People see me as diehard OSC because when the attempted bullying of members was rife on here a number of years ago I stuck to my guns. I don’t think being in the OSC is that great btw. Just that it’s better than not being a member and I know KP is available 7 days a week to help fans.
I know I wind a few people up so have to roll with the punches. It’s seeing other people pressurised on here that I object to. I always object to attempted pioe ons regardless of whether I agree with the issues or not. For example, I wrote to several prominent Blues a few months back about not alienating genuine Blues of colour through emotional language. I got a very positive response.
I agree that affordable prices are the key and I hope this weeks progress is built upon. Credit to you guys for lifting the atmosphere last night.
What is it then?
Happens with things like allotments and housing where demand massively outstrips supply.Imagine any other business where they sell you a product and then they demand you use it or they take it away from you?
It's madness mate.
Unlike you, I've sat in the room with Kevin many times in City Matters meetings and I can assure you he can be very vehement and quite scathing. He's also usually the most constructive rep as well. That's not to say he and I have always seen eye-to-eye on everything but he usually has a good justification for the positions he takes.Thankfully Kevin Parkers turn as a City Matters Rep will eventually end.
Unfortunately you can bet he will have a say in who is the next City Matters Rep for the OSC.
And the new OSC, City Matters Rep, certainly won't rock the boat with the club.
