Protesters

A new breed of protesters called The Tyre Extinguishers are making their prescence noticed on britains byways and highways and coming to a town near you real soon!

The hippies sneak out into the dead of night to affluent areas of the country to deflate the tyres of suv's and the like in pursuit of a wild goal of making it impossible to own an SUV in urban areas such as London, Bristol, Chelsea, Edinburgh, Brighton and Hove.

The scurlious dogs have also picked on owners in Greystones in Sheffield, West Didsbury in Manchester, Bacup in Lancashire; Birmingham; and Craigiebarns and Broughty Ferry in remote Dundee.

Marion Walker, a Tyre Extinguisher spokesperson, said
"Six months in and 9,000 SUVs later, our movements only just beginning"

Not quite grasping Bacups deflations .. anyone driving other than a horse and cart there is punishable by burning.

Touch mine and I’ll be burning them all, especially if they make it up the 2 mile drive.

Nobody will notice.

Like strikers protesters have their place in a democratic society. The whole point of both is to inconvenience folk to draw attention to their gripe. The alternative is a totalitarian state where for example women die in custody having been arrested for not wearing a scarf in the right way. You have one or the other - there is no middle way.

Saw a couple of anti-dairy(?) protestors pour milk over cheese in both Harrods and Fortnum and Mason the other day. Quite bizarre and my initial sympathies lie with the poor sods who have to clean it all up.
