Protesters

You chose not to answer because you made a moronic statement to begin with, suggesting vandalism of vehicles is ok despite being illegal.

Things can be okay and illegal.

Bizarre that you are now diverting the conversation away from my original question you've avoided.

Because I chose not to answer the slimmest of hypotheticals. Do you think people who live in Belgravia might be inconvenienced but be able to call a cab?

Maybe I care more about pedestrians and children having to breathe in pollutants.

Thanks for sharing that wonderful bit of info, but what’s that got to do with milk being poured over a cheese counter? Pmsl

"I was responding to a specific person who was already talking about SUVs."

I can't support the vegan protesters despite thinking they are have a point on some things, because I consume animal produce.

Ah ok. I’ve read you don’t have a car through choice, so at least you’re not being hypocritical :)

However, anyone touches my property, consequences would occur

Surely you don’t think it’s right to do something negative to someone else’s property just because you have different beliefs tho do you?

Wouldn’t it be more pertinent to lobby the car manufacturers or government to stop making SUVs if people feel that strongly about them, as causing SuV drivers mither isn’t going to change their minds about owning an SUV, all it will do is entrench people against the protesters, which kinda defeats the idea of a protest no?

Out of interest, are you a cyclist, Walker/runner, public transporter (bus wanker), or agoraphobic?

It’s not about beliefs it is about consequences of unnecessary, unreasonable and selfish consumption. Don't construct strawmen.

No I don't. Car manufacturers respond to demand, the public demand for SUVs keeps going up. Even fully electric SUVs don't belong in city centres, they take up too much space and increase likelihood of fatalities in RTCs.

The protesters target affluent people who already consume too much. They won't change their minds, but at least they are dishing out some karma.

I walk, use buses and trains, there's no point of using buses where I live (not often enough and doesn't make sense over walking). I'm on holiday at the moment, lol sort of I work from home. But I'm currently almost 2700 miles from the UK.

There is no strawman. You believe people are being selfish, unreasonable & unnecessary fuel consumption, so shouldn’t own an SUV.

That is your belief, so own it mate. These SUV drivers believe it’s their right to own an SUV & consume whatever fuel they like, so it’s exactly about beliefs, nothing at all to do with a strawman

With that in mind, do think it’s right to do something negative to someone else’s property just because you have different beliefs?

As for the car manufacturers part, you’ve got it arse about face mate. Stop the manufacturers & you stop SUV sales full stop. If there’s no supply, it doesn’t matter what the demand is no? You can’t buy something which doesn’t exist mate

Protesting against motorists will only have a negative effect on the message the protestors are trying to get across, as they won’t win the minds of anyone, which is surely the end game if you want change?

The point these protestors have is valid, the way they’re going about it is stupid & moronic

With regards to the affluent comment & karma, I’m sorry mate, but why on earth would affluent people who drive SUVs need some sort of karma?

It went on for what felt like an eternity and nobody did anything to stop them. I presume they were arrested once they left the premises.
Someone needs to give them a fucking good hard number of punches and see how long it lasts then? Just who the fuck do these people think they are when they walk into someone else's premises and intentionally start to wreck and damage goods and property just because they want to 'protest'? Can you imagine if someone marched unannounced into their houses or property and started to do the same? The world is fucked!
