It’s not about beliefs it is about consequences of unnecessary, unreasonable and selfish consumption. Don't construct strawmen.
No I don't. Car manufacturers respond to demand, the public demand for SUVs keeps going up. Even fully electric SUVs don't belong in city centres, they take up too much space and increase likelihood of fatalities in RTCs.
The protesters target affluent people who already consume too much. They won't change their minds, but at least they are dishing out some karma.
I walk, use buses and trains, there's no point of using buses where I live (not often enough and doesn't make sense over walking). I'm on holiday at the moment, lol sort of I work from home. But I'm currently almost 2700 miles from the UK.
There is no strawman. You believe people are being selfish, unreasonable & unnecessary fuel consumption, so shouldn’t own an SUV.
That is your belief, so own it mate. These SUV drivers believe it’s their right to own an SUV & consume whatever fuel they like, so it’s exactly about beliefs, nothing at all to do with a strawman
With that in mind, do think it’s right to do something negative to someone else’s property just because you have different beliefs?
As for the car manufacturers part, you’ve got it arse about face mate. Stop the manufacturers & you stop SUV sales full stop. If there’s no supply, it doesn’t matter what the demand is no? You can’t buy something which doesn’t exist mate
Protesting against motorists will only have a negative effect on the message the protestors are trying to get across, as they won’t win the minds of anyone, which is surely the end game if you want change?
The point these protestors have is valid, the way they’re going about it is stupid & moronic
With regards to the affluent comment & karma, I’m sorry mate, but why on earth would affluent people who drive SUVs need some sort of karma?
