I don’t think you understand our dire the situation is. You and I could die prematurely, our children could and probably will unless we take a completely different direction.

Every major change has been done by protests, gaining democracy, the suffragette movement, reversing poll tax - this is how you do it and you should be fucking thanking these people for trying to save you and your family’s lives.

A 3rd of our energy is green currently, the only thing stopping us going to 100% is profit.

If we go to 100% and lead the way, others will follow, it’s why the international community is so important.

Even if we become green and others don’t, the amount of Co2 going into the air decreases and it will slow stuff down.

We’re doing something, we’re just at 33% and need to go to 100%.

Blaming for people for starting in their own country has to be one of the worst arguments I’ve ever heard.

Saying we should do nothing because other countries do nothing is probably the most stupid reason ever for not doing it. Lead by example, make it an issue in trade deals and in every other forum we participate in, bring other countries on board...hence one of the reasons we should stay in the EU. You and I are leaving a carbon footprint as we speak here right now, of course the protestors are leaving one too, we all do but the government of the UK has the chance to change it and ensure we leave no carbon footprint without our lives changing too much. The inconvenience is on them and that’s why they don’t and that’s why the protestors are taking drastic matters.

This is about the bigger picture.

They’re starting in their own backyard, let’s get ourselves in order and then say to everyone else “what the fuck are you doing?”.

You lead by example.

Time is ticking and the UK sitting around waiting for someone else to do it for them is fucking ludicrous.
