That was peaceful.Nope. Not like the suffragettes managed to achieve anything just to mention one group.

That was peaceful.
Please do.And this one isn't? Chaining to gates, throwing themselves in front of horses, sent to prison. Need I go on??
But it has worked, as it’s all over the media, was on national television last night on BBC1 for an hour and we’re talking about it now.
I don’t think you understand our dire the situation is. You and I could die prematurely, our children could and probably will unless we take a completely different direction.
Every major change has been done by protests, gaining democracy, the suffragette movement, reversing poll tax - this is how you do it and you should be fucking thanking these people for trying to save you and your family’s lives.

Have you been to China or India? until you do you will realise the protests are futile and pathetic . We in the uk try to deal with this issue and have a thriving green economy within our economy . Meanwhile go to shanghai you cannot see the sky. It’s weird.
They should chain themselves to the Chinese or Indian embassy if they want to make a difference .
Contrary to opinion China are also moving forward.
A 3rd of our energy is green currently, the only thing stopping us going to 100% is profit.
If we go to 100% and lead the way, others will follow, it’s why the international community is so important.
Even if we become green and others don’t, the amount of Co2 going into the air decreases and it will slow stuff down.
We’re doing something, we’re just at 33% and need to go to 100%.
Blaming for people for starting in their own country has to be one of the worst arguments I’ve ever heard.
Technology is advancing all the time.Saying we should do nothing because other countries do nothing is probably the most stupid reason ever for not doing it. Lead by example, make it an issue in trade deals and in every other forum we participate in, bring other countries on board...hence one of the reasons we should stay in the EU. Doing nothing is no longer an option. Otherwise there will not be a world for your grandchildren and their children to grow old in. People need to care.
I am not saying the issue does not need dealing with but having cars stopped on the road in the uk chugging out fumes isn’t the answer and the uk is not the problem. These protesters are causing pollution.
It’s a global problem and the uk is one of the better countries , standing in Shanghai and not being able to see the sky gives you a sense of where this issue really lies.
