Protesters

1. Yes it would
2. The Attenborough documentary specifically stated China and India are making a lot of progress
3. Once that orange baboon is out of the White House so will the US
4. If we can show it’s successful, others will definitely join us

1 no it wouldnt we are a small island compared to the countries I mentioned fact is it would make no difference plus this country does more than those countries I mentioned which 2 of those countries are still growing and will throw out billions of more pollution over the next 20 years.

If we put 0.5% of the world’s Co2 into the atmosphere and we suddenly stop, that’s still something.

China has put the breaks on somewhat, the haven’t stopped to a halt and are still going 30 MPH but the foot is on the break pedal.

What other option do we have but to stop it ourselves and try and convince others?

The UK is still the seventh highest polluter in the world, so there's an awful lot they could do.

My only issue with these protests is the fact they are taking out the greener ways to travelling to make there protests?!

If your going to protest, at least protest the higher value targets as it where.Blocking trams and trains just moves people into cars, totally defeating your own agenda.

For example, the 15 largest container ships produce as much pollution ( not necessarily co2 ) as 750m cars. That’s pretty much the number of cars in Europe, USA and China combined.

Target shipping, forcing them to use better quality fuel and you have a significant “quick win”

But there are quick and easy things that could be done that are being skipped.

Change building regulations so every new build has to have solar panels fitted.

Solar panels along the central reservation on every motor way etc.

But until battery tech has a major leap wind and solar can’t over take fully.

Saying all that tho, I do personally believe we are past prevention. The second The Siberian permafrost started to melt was the tipping point in my mind. We need to mix reduction with new tech to absorb these things from the atmosphere.

Some factual corrections needed here.
1. The country that is reducing its emissions faster than any other is none other than the USA. Yep, even under that orange buffoon.
2 The suffragettes DELAYED the introduction of votes for women. The SUFFRAGISTS had persuaded parliament but impatience caused a split, the SUFFRAGETTES emerged with their direct action and the gov. decided they would not be seen to 'give in to violence'.
