This team is fucking brilliant. Not just the team, the manager, the academy, the owners. Everything.

At the end of the day, we’ve been knocked out a cup competition, just like we did against Wigan. Barca got knocked out tonight by Roma, the third best team in Italy. Barca are undeafeated all season.

We’ve got a very young squad, we will have our luck in this competition in the coming years. We’re only going to get better. We could have made a proper game of that in the second half if that Sane goal wasn’t disallowed.

Liverpool and United fans can gloat all they want tonight, but they’ve both got some work to do before lifting any silverware at the end of the season. We’ve got one trophy in the bag and another one on the way.

Get fucked to all the knobs that want to criticise this City side because this season has been the best season I’ve ever seen from a City side. Roll on the title and roll on next season, we’re going to be the top team in England for years to come.

Brilliant post whilst i may be dwelling on the past 3 games not for the way we played but for the absolute bullshit amateurs that are called referees to many times we were done over by them and cost us what well could have been 3 completely different results.

...is absolutely the correct emotion. Must have been a very difficult week for you, however we at west ham have difficult weeks every week , the looming threat of moyseeeh getting given a full time contract and another season of andy carroll " will he wont he make it to ten " ( no, not goals, games ) and the annual "lets see who we can pick up cheap from the relegated sides " transfer " strategy - its a constant fucking grind!

You on the other hand have two trophies in the pot, playing lunar level football and it can only get much better.

Stlll cant get it in my water to do anything other than applaud your continued advancement..

Cheers

Love The Hammers and their passionate fans! Please continue to look after both Joe and Zab for us, both legends who I hope to see back at some stage, as ambassadors of our great club! So glad you are nearly safe and even if it means Moyes stays, at least you have a chance to build now pal!

After such a brilliant season these defeats are hard to take, but you're right onwards and upwards blues

Thanks for that. Should give a few on here a wake up call.

Looking back with injuries and D.Silva absence we have probably done far better than we should have, both forwards have been injured and probably at best 70% up to speed and each having to carry the burden of the other not being available when they are on the way back.
Mendy out all year ( still counting in the city spent more than us brigade) has impacted but we have done well filling in that spot.
These last 3 games have been frustrating to say the least, dominant but when you can't buy a goal and the opposing side have a strike rate of goals from attempts that beggars belief well you know your luck is out.
Both united and Liverpool fans have reacted the same, gloated to start ( as you would expect) but when they settle down they start to admit that they stole the wins and we should have been out of sight in both games by half times.
Never been so proud to be a city fan, chucked a cheeky £50 on city at 500/1 back in August to win the lot, between the penalty shootout's and then Wigan taking the bet out I certainly enjoyed most of the ride.
Considering we are feeling down today if the bookies are offering 500/1 for next year I will be having another bet, this side is for the future.
As us older fans know the taste of winning is far sweeter after the experience of losing.
We are way ahead of the rest.
Good opening post by the way

It's nice to read some sense on here occasionally. Great post.

Incredibly - not just of the team but the fans and the entire club. We are a class act on and off the pitch.

Rational and extremely accurate. This City team is on the brink of great things. Yes, we've dropped 3 in a row and we're disappointed....remember where we once were. The future is bright, the future is BLUE.
Frankly, the present ain't so bad either.
