A lot depends on the instruction given to the players. If both ferns are pressing high up the pitch we are fucked. I cant see pellegrini telling the players to contain so I fear we will be gungho and wide open as per usual.

Can see Navas getting lots of space, let's hope it's one of his good nights in the opposition's third.

So this is it, an immense match and it will as usual come down to a fight and scrap between both teams. I don't know about the situation with Yaya in terms of fitness but leaving him in this game is very odd and random to say the least. This is the game where we need someone that can seize and control possession in the midfield and without that, like the first game, we may be chasing shadows in that department and may very well rely on Ibrahimovic having a bad game once again to get a positive outcome. Fernando in particular will have to work extra hard to keep pace and fernandinho will need to also try and keep possession of the ball. Navas offers defensive cover but will need to really improve his crossing in-order to capitalize on our chances.

A 433 with Yaya in a central role, and fernandinho drifting right occasionally, would have been my preferred starting line up. But football is a sport, let the players work hard, defend well and fight and at the end of the day, it is about going through so LET'S DO IT!!
