Well we know Ipswich were just shite now at least!

I don't want to criticise individuals but unfortunately, when up against a top class opposition midfield we saw the level of Kovacic tonight. Really poor all game and should have been hooked sooner. A lack of composure from too many tonight and when 2-0 up we still had no midfield presence or calming influence to see things through.

They were first to pretty much everything and the lack of legs showed. Bernardo is just a shadow of the player he was. Hopefully just a case of too much football over the past few years rather than a bigger problem there.

We are making moves this window, we will continue to do so in the summer and until then back the team and hope we can still bag a trophy or two and qualify for the knockouts...and for the CL next season.

A big ask but I'm not throwing in the towel just yet. This team deserve my hope,.they've repaid it countless times before.

Although the 4th goal didn't affect the result, the decision by VAR to award it shows what a bunch of incompetent wankers the officials are. It was only not offside if Gvardiol deliberately played the ball. It hit his shoulder, which clearly wasn't deliberate. The offside law even specifically mentions kicking or heading the ball.

A player in an offside position receiving the ball from an opponent who deliberately played* the ball... is not considered to have gained an advantage...

*‘Deliberate play’ is when a player has control of the ball with the possibility of:
passing the ball to a team-mate;
gaining possession of the ball; or
clearing the ball (e.g. by kicking or heading it)

It was such a ridiculously high-risk decision, considering the name of the game in that immediate aftermath of establishing our 2-0 lead was to take absolutely zero risks which could give PSG encouragement.
