I couldn’t, believe that with Dias going off that Stones, did not replace him immediately or Nunes after the first PSG goal,as it was clear to every City fan in the ground, where the PSG threat was from or was aimed at, & Nunes was in the firing line, and getting no meaningful help!!:0(

Facts have to be faced.

There are various effective ways of playing the game, we only have one, and against good teams it rarely works now.

Last night imo was the nadir for Pep,with the outcome being that, individuals and the collective could only fail, whilst the result, even at 2.0, was predictable.

New players into a failing or failed system will only produce similar outcomes.

I was shocked at the utter nievety of almost every element of our selection, setup and game management last night, really shocked.

Little more to be said !!

Happens when all we care about is how someone can keep the ball away from the opponent. Time for a transition with dynamic players. Especially in central midfield and LB/RB position but we will see the next CB‘s there soon.

We’ve seen first hand what happens to new players brought into a team that’s well past its best but I guess we have to start somewhere. I agree that we should just forget about Europe this season and and eke out a top 5 finish then hopefully we can add more new faces in the summer and get back to impressive winning ways.
I didn’t recognise our team last night, I’ve expected a drop of since the treble but this is something else.
If we are cleared of the charges I can see pep going in the summer with his head held high as he’s given us everything and maybe it wouldn’t be a bad thing the poor guy looks as fucked as the rest of the team right now.
 
The situation that freaked me out was when we had the whole defensive line at the middle of the pitch and Nunes decides to jump in only to get nutmegged and for us to concede a first and there and then lose the game. I would rather have Allardyce at 2-0 up than Pep at the moment and that tells you something.

There is no cohesion in this team any longer. Everyone runs individually until they lose the ball, we’re like strangers to each other. It really is depressing to see.

Ha ha, the scattergun approach got us on our way but don’t forget the mistakes. I’m the same as most in hoping our next midfielders are strong and athletic enough to match our opponents, and definitely the position that needs addressing most urgently.

For me, I don’t want him out, but I do want him to be a little more pragmatic and adapt to the fact we no longer have the players to play the way he wants us to.

Ruben Neves was right there at Benfica who PSG got for around 60.

Enzo was offered to us for 12 million when he was at River Plate. Pep teams always have 2 to 3 world class midfielders in their prime and some how we never decided to get 1.

I hope Viara is scanning the teams at Benfica/Porto/River Plate or some club in Brazil for the next nasty Ferns.

Well we have the options of Baleba or Ederson or Zubi right there but they would cost some sweet penny.

Tell you who I really like as a master of the dark arts and people will probs say "oh he isn't good enough" but I tell you he is a nasty fucker who puts it about....Joelinton from Newcastle.
Remember when we had Bellamy, Tevez. Great players with that little bit of bite to break it up etc. We are soft as fuck now
 
All on Pep picking the same old.
I find it hard to slag these players after what they have done.Bernado and Phil put in a performance Ged Brannan would have been proud off.
Kovacic and Foden trying to play in dangerous areas sometimes just get rid.
The following need to be gone Bernado,Gundo,Lewis.Stones because he cant stay fit.
Kdb maybe could be employed as holding midfielder as his passing is still amazing and we might get 75 mins out of him.
Wright and O Reilly need to be given a go now as they have legs and cant do any worse.Nunes was bought as a midfielder lets give him a run in there see what he can or cannot do.
The worrying thing about the defence if Dias is not there they turn to shit.

Same been happening on here. Some posters not wanting to accept what's staring them in the face. Players too old or not good enough really is the problem. Time for quite a few to move on.
