I suppose They have to make sure all tickets are sold prior to the last collection by the Royal Fail(sorry mail) tomorrow, as 1st class no longer guarantees next day delivery and tickets/confirmation letters have to be with those going by Sat, Some of us are travelling Monday, Imagine the chaos ? What a PR Disaster

There are probably a few hundred fans who have the points and would like to go but just assumed that it would sell out yesterday and haven't bothered checking today. If they retain this system, or something like it, there would eventually be something of a bounce back in terms of the points at which big games sell out. Fans who currently think they'll miss out will be more confident of getting a ticket, pay more attention to how quickly tickets are shifting.

There are clearly a number of reasons why it hasn't sold out. But there is a danger for City that fans will simply buy into the theory that there has been widespread abuse of the points system, which this game has flushed out. If City do not maintain confidence in the integrity of the ticketing process, fans will eventually simply stop buying Platinum and joining cup schemes.

Iv seen nothing on here to say they didn't get tickets, and the club obviously thought they would sell out on day 1 so the fact it's goin to day 3 and such big drops show that point whores are just as bad!!!

They've put dates and times on for people with 10000, 6000 and zero points on the ticket website now.
Perhaps potential terrorism has had an effect on sales?

not a chance. the only thing that has affected sales is the lack of whoring being allowed.

The SCs' limited allocations are sorted in advance, as per PB's thread.

Slow sales have nothing to do with SCs who take what they have been given!
