Like the cup final lineup. That would be better but I wish we would line up like we did in Seville.
most important player that will be missing for them is Matuidi
In case nobody has posted it already - teams drawing the first leg away 2-2 have gone through on 220 of 277 occasions. That's 79.422%. Roughly.
AgreedYeah Matuidi will be a huge miss for them... Got a serious engine on him and the reason they win the ball back so quickly
If they stick with the 4-3-3 that'll leave them with Motta, Rabiot and then either Tottenham flop Stambouli or 18 year old Augustin...We must be able to better them, surely.
I look at how Chelsea won it and by fuck they had some luck that season. Can we do the same ?Strange game, on one hand you can see exactly why we are some way short of winning this competition. Its hard to see a positive outcome were Messi and co to have 180 mins at our defence. On the other hand you know that we can score goals and it only takes De Bruyne and Aguero both to fire on the same night and we could give anyone a scare.
Its not beyond the realms after these first legs that the last four could be us, Wolfsburg, Benfica, and Athletico, at which point the expectation would suddenly be to win the thing...and with some justification.
When all is said and done tonight was a very decent result, and whilst hardly a given, with two away goals, its right to expect to finish the job at the Etihad. A little luck with a semi final draw ie not Barca and we could find ourselves in the final.....at which point a one off match on a neutral ground. Alot of football to be played yet...but it could be our year.
And get in their faces from the off. They won't like it, they'll come all the play-acting, and we can capitalise on their discomfort!

Navas end product is definately not at the standards demanded here, but he gives the team balance. Tactically disciplined, always available on that right hand side. Works hard without the ball and involved in most counters. Am baffled though at how Maxwell made so many crosses tonight, thought Navas would have him pinned in his defensive half.Navas cannot start again, every time the give him the ball whatever positive momentum City have just fizzles out. Yeah, he had a nice cross to Silva once but that was pretty much it for the whole match and he gets a TON of time on the ball. Either let Yaya play further up in front of Dinho and Delph or put Nacho on instead of Yaya and feed off of his energy. Bring Navas' fresh legs on around 60 minutes and use him as an outlet to kill the game off.
The one other thing that has been pissing me for nearly two full seasons ... why the fuck don`t we have men covering the posts from corners ... and look what happened tonight and not for the first time this season.Aaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrgghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
But Sideshow Bob is suspended ;)
