What im saying though is PSG will never be able to generate the income of a team like City due to the popularity of the PL

Not so sure, media income isn't the only revenue stream, Bayern get a lot of sponsorship from the big car makers etc etc. French car makers might be willing to stump up a lot of brass if PSG suddenly start winning CL. That is all I am saying.

I reckon the French League will overtake Serie A in the UEFA co-efficients in the next decade.

Of course but how many trophies will they win? Italian clubs are doing better than the germans in term of trophies won (by talking about champions league), that uefa co-efficients sucks really.

I don't think that France will overtkake Italy in Uefa competitions.
Italy is paying for the impossibility for the clubs to built new stadiums... so the level of Serie A will going down until we'll have a new law(wich yesterday was approved by one of our 2 section of parliament).
But beside Psg I can't see any great football team in France.
Btw, the power of a nation is always represented by his national team.

Good on em. Hope they achieve great things. Nothing is worse than the same teams winning all the time in sport. It makes it boring and predicatble. Paris has never had a proper big club, PSG are only about 40 years old themselves, and it's about time they had a go. I'd love to get them in the CL.

The reason i want to see City in the CL is for us to be playing the best clubs and teams. I don't want to see us piss through an easy group with boring predictable games. I'd rather we got Barca, Juve and PSG in a group.

I'd rather we got out of the group and then faced the really big sides. If you're going to win the trophy then, at some point, you'll have to play the likes of Barca, Bayern, Madrid etc. If you play the really tough sides in the group then you run the risk of failing to qualify, and ending up on a Thursday night again like last season.

Personally I'd like to see us progress as far as possible, the big teams will come then anyway. Easiest group possible please, might even get to rest some players to help retain our title or go for another trophy
