I too am now a native of East Lancashire... and I too recommend that you don'ty go drinking in Burnley town centre!

Have a lot of mates who are Clarets fans and even they admit that they have a large percentage of nobheads who turn out for the big games.

I'm actually in the Burnley end this Saturday (too late for a ticket for the City end), and a mate of mine got me a couple.

Have sat in the Burnley end before. so I know to keep schtum, and so long as I wear my gloves, so they don't see I don't have six fingers I should get away with it! Try to remember to chuck rocks at the sun as well if you reallly want to integrate!

Best place for a drink might be Clitheroe, Rochdale, maybe Rawtenstall or some of the pubs just off the M65.
we'll be calling in the pubs between rawtenstall and burnley

ok so the turf it is then. Should at least be easy to get served as the locals seem otherwise engaged!

No, it's in Burnley town centre on Yorkshire Street, near Turf Moor....

If you do want a drink in Burnley the Inn on the Wharf and Bridge Bierhuis

I would avaoid the Bridge on match days before or after (not with colours on).

The Wharf should have plenty of City in as it is near the Manchester Rd Station the fans get off the train at, but I wouldn't bother going closer to the town centre if it is obvious you are city fans.

It is Burnely Blues festival all Easter weekend so a lot of pubs will have bands on, the Bridge is one of them and will be rammed.

The Talbot, White Hart and Spread Eagle would be worth going for beer if you have no colours and don't go chaved up.
